Our first visit to David’s, all I can say is outstanding! Starting with the cocktails by Sebastian, martini and old fashioned were superb! Our server Jordyn was one of the very best that we have had in any restaurant in America, delightful, informative, attentive amazing! Food was perfect, from the scallop appetizer to the steaks, the food was top flight, we both compared the steaks to the original Four Seasons in NYC. This restaurant is a must visit for foodies and restaurant lovers when you are in the Amelia Island area. 5 stars across the board!

Ambiance is nice inside. Hostess was friendly. We were greeted at the table by an assistant server who said he would be assisting the main server, whatever his name was, but that main server never once showed up our entire meal, though we saw him at two tables near us... The bread service in the little treasure box is fun. We skipped apps to save room for dessert, maybe. For entrees I had the dover sole, which was fine, but not great. Thin and a little over done, I think. Risotto was very strongly herbed, more so than I really enjoy, it was a little overpowering. My wife had the wagu steak, which was tough and a little chewy (at medium rare), though nicely seasoned, and in no way a good representation of the reputation of wagu. When it came time for dessert our assistant-turned-only server didn't think there was anything safe for my Gluten-allergic wife except the ice cream, so we also skipped dessert since she a) didn't want ice cream and b) certainly didn't think any ice cream by itself would be worth $15. So we left and had dessert elsewhere. At no point did we feel we got $180 of enjoyment, quality, or value out of the experience. Hopefully just an off night.

One of the finer restaurants in the area. Great steak house. A little pricey but food is great. Nice wine list too.

To start, the service was potentially some of the best we have had. From start to finish, the service was polished, friendly and formal. Dishes were explained, recommendations provided, and we were treated as royalty. The menu was original and the specials were just that, special. We started with one of the chef's specialties - the octopus appetizer. It was amazing. We have only had octopus prepared this well at one other establishment. So tender and the flavors on the plate paired exceptionally. Also, the bread service was unique as it was presented in a fancy little bread box. The salad, David's salad, was wonderful. We split the salad and the portions were smaller, but we found this to be Ok since we split and were not expecting anything huge. Flavors were wonderful and the goat cheese croquette really put a bow on it. Unfortunately, the main course left much to be desired. We split the Wagyu with chimichurri and added a 5oz lobster tail. We were charged a split fee, which is fine, but the portions were incredibly small. To make matters worse, the cut of beef was half fat (think NY Strip). The main course, plus the split fee, plus the lobster tail was $100. We should have ordered two separate plates. We will give David's a pass here as the flavor was spot on. Dessert was wonderful. Overall, though, we loved this place and will return in the future. Thanks!

David’s is one of our favorites on the island. We each had the filet Mignon which was tender, buttery and seasoned perfectly. We would recommend this place for special occasions and a nice night out. Service was great and our experience was excellent.

The food was outstanding and presented by the chef David. The service was top-notch, including the wind handler bus boy and waiter. I highly recommend David‘s as one of the best restaurants on Amelia Island.
