Davenport Press is consistently very good. We both had the monk fish special, which was quite tasty. Our waitress Bridget, who we've had before, was attentive and offered suggestions. We will definitely return.

The entire process from your arrival with a cordial welcome by the staff is outstanding. The entire restaurant is very unique with various historical items readily available for your enjoyment. The ceiling will bring a smile to you and your guests. The menu as well as the daily specials, will require a discussion with the staff who can explain all of the items in detail to allow you to the opportunity to make a special meal. Our selections were outstanding Bacon wrapped stuff Shrimp and end cut Prime rib. The staff will ensure that you enjoy the entire experience. It was our 51 Wedding Anniversary, and the staff provided a champagne cocktail and congratulations to us. We have been fortunate to have spent many occasions with the staff and have never been disappointed. THANK YOU, SEE YOU SOON

Food was good but make sure you check your bill before you pay. I didn’t and when I got home I saw that we were overcharged for an extra glass of wine - $11 plus tax. That fraud took the fun out of the evening.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Davenport Press for a family birthday celebration, and it was a delightful experience. The food was exceptional, with each dish bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. Our server, Eleni, was outstanding, providing attentive and friendly service that made the evening even more special. The ambiance of the restaurant was charming and comfortable, perfect for a relaxed yet memorable evening. We particularly enjoyed the cozy atmosphere , eclectic decor and a welcoming vibe. We each had different items, including shrimp cocktails, lobster, shrimp scampi, mignonetee (filet mignon, cognac mushroom sauce), and each one was a hit. The portions were generous, and we felt the prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity of food we received. Overall, we had a fantastic evening at Davenport Press and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for excellent food, outstanding service, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. We look forward to returning soon!

With quirky decor and situated near the LIRR tracks, this is a longstanding restaurant with a good reputation. We hadn't eaten here in a while, but the food and service continue to be just as outstanding as we had experienced in the past. The long list of specials and their standard menu give patrons lots to choose from. You won't be disappointed!

This is one of our most favorite restaurants. Everyone is friendly and attentive. The menu is great and they have fantastic specials. Food is delicious, drinks are perfect and the service is great. Looking forward to next time!

The restaurant consistently hits it out of the ballpark. My only concern about giving this restaurant such a great review is that it will become too difficult to get a reservation!
