Came twice in one week! The food is excellent and the service is wonderful - each time we were given great recommendations and everything came out perfectly and quickly. We’ve come for both lunch and dinner, now we want to try their brunch menu! Don’t skip the honey ricotta or seasonal bruschetta and yellowtail for apps, vodka rigatoni or octopus and potatoes for entrees, or the lemon tiramisu for dessert - so good!

While the pasta I ordered was good, the environment was extremely loud and it was very, very dark. More importantly, I ordered a mock-tail as I have several important reasons why I do not drink. I was excited to get a drink with a friend and about halfway through the dinner I realized that they mixed up our drinks and I was given the mojito and my friend was given the mock- tail. I was very unimpressed with the service as I feel we should have been comped our meal. They comped our drinks, but that is a VERY serious thing to screw up. Whether I am pregnant, in AA/ recovery or other reasons, mixing up an alcoholic vs non alcoholic drink is unacceptable. I unfortunately will not be returning. ):

Simply fabulous. All the food was delicious! Cacio de Pepe cheesecake… wow! Rigatoni with vodka and sausage … delicious. Waiter was wonderful. The dirty martinis were well balanced. The manager comped a dessert and 2 shots … she was delightful! The only challenge we had was the hostesses who wanted to seat us (2 people) in the back by the restrooms. We had a reservation at 5:30 which is quite early. The restaurant was virtually empty. Only 2 tables up front that were taken, and she said those are reserved. Well, we made a reservation too, so I insisted on sitting up front. She said it’s ok “if you leave by 7:30.” Well needless to say, we were in no hurry to leave by 7:30. Unsure what the reason was to seat us in the back with a less than enticing table, and leave the tables up front empty until those parties arrived? Why don’t you seat *them* in the back when they arrive? Not a great first impression. However, everyone else at the restaurant thereafter made up for the hostess’ actions, so we will definitely be returning. Hopefully the experience at the door will be better.

My wife and I had a very nice anniversary dinner here. It's a cozy neighborhood spot with good food and friendly service. The beet salad was excellent, and our pasty entrees were tasty and served in manageable portions. My rye-based cocktail, which was supposed to have a smoky flavor, didn't quite measure up, but my wife's cucumber flavored gin cocktail was good. Definitely would return. There's a large, free parking deck close to the restaurant on Chicago, so parking is convenient.

Excellent food, lovely atmosphere Service was good. Unfortunately staff forgot appetizer but when reminded brought it with meal. Very apologetic Highly recommended

Our experience was phenomenal. Food was perfect portions and delicious. Meatball is our go to appetizer when we dine here never a miss always good. We try to order different dishes so far we have not had a bad meal. Cocktails are also great. Our server Sam was awesome, very attentive, met all of our expectations and watching him with other customers I know that he is very good at his skills. I completely recommend Davanti’s, it does not disappoint. We always come back!!!
