Mia Francesca features the zesty, earthy cuisine of Rome and the surrounding areas of Tuscany, Umbria, and Lazio. It was one of the first restaurants in Chicago to encourage the lively art of dining with a contemporary, casually sophisticated trattoria ambiance, simple, rustic cooking, friendly service, and fair prices.

Waiting for a table at the beautiful antique bar is part of the charm of Mia Francesca. The plush upstairs dining room and lounge can be reserved for private events, as can the more intimate coach house tucked away behind the restaurant. In the summer, al fresco dining is also available on a charming cobblestone terrace.

Our long time favorite restaurant, Francesca's Bryn Mawr, closed during the pandemic. How excited we were to see a new location open in Lincolnwood! We ate there last night for our son's birthday - same great and delicious Italian menu, same great ambiance and they even got an employee to come sing Happy Birthday to him - in Italian which pleased my wife who is an Italian professor! Top notch.

We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary. The waiter was very attentive, always engaging us in conversation. The food was outstanding. We had burrata for an appetizer and asparagus with blue cheese for salad selection. We also enjoyed Milanese chicken special and lemon chicken. The entre portions were so huge that we brought half home. We met a couple next to us who were celebrating their anniversary, as well. We had a great evening overall.

We loved it from start to finish! Our server, Jeff, was excellent as was the rest of the team. Glad to have a Mia Francesca near me.

Appetizers and Main Courses were absolutely tasty and approached what one can find on the coast in Italy. Recommend sticking to wine or a Peroni to emphasize the quality of the food.

An unfortunate dining experience at Mia Francesca in Lincolnwood will not have us coming back anytime soon. A huge error was made. 3 out of the 4 entrees were brought out leaving one of us without an entree. We waited an unusually long time to order our dinner. When our food was finally brought out, we sat there waiting and waiting for the 4th entree to be brought out only to have to finally let another server know that we were missing it (not our server because she never came by to make sure all of our entrees were correct and delivered to our table). When the missing entree was brought out, it was under cooked and obviously rushed. The manager did come over to our table and apologized for their error. He took 2 entrees off our bill and gave us a $50 gift card.

First time to this Francesca's. The place was very busy, but were taken care of pretty quickly. After we were seated, we got our drinks quickly and our starter. After that, service was just a tad slow, but not too bad. They did apologize for the delays in the kitchen and comped us on a dessert. It was not that bad, so we were surprised. Food was very good. Pasta was cooked to perfection. Carrot cake was innovative and delicious.

Nice new look with many of the tried and true Mia Francesca favorites. Burrata with tomato’s on the vine was great. Wine reasonably prices. Good service. Give them a try!

Food and service was really good. This is fourth time I’ve been here. Each time has been excellent. A little expensive; but, worth it for special occasions.
