Dauphine’s is a modern day incarnation of the dramatic Grande Dame establishments of New Orleans, brought to you by the award winning Long Shot Hospitality - the team behind DC's beloved The Salt Line Restaurants. Dauphine’s utilizes Mid-Atlantic ingredients to prepare classic New Orleans fare while also creating original dishes inspired by the legendary city. Loved the atmosphere. Our server, Addison was great. The jazz musicians at brunch were excellent. We ordered the bread basket which was great as was the shrimp with grits. Will be back.

I took my wife here for her birthday because she loves New Orleans, oysters, and benignies (spelling) and this place had it all!! The ambiance is nice. We were immediately seated at 6:42pm for our 7pm reservation which allowed us to catch the end of the Happy Hour (which ends at 7). Oysters did not disappoint. I had the catfish and grits which was delicious. We will definitely come back!!

Amazing dinner, cocktails were excellent (I had Great New Orleans Fire), fresh oysters were outstanding, and the Vietnamese Coffee cheesecake was exceptional. Service was attentive, and helpful. I was surprised to find a restaurant with this level of NOLA food in DC!

Food and drinks were amazing. Service was great but a little slow (2 hours in total and took 15 minutes before anyone came to our table for drinks initially)

Celebrating my mom’s birthday, we had a fabulous time! They had live jazz for brunch and the food was delicious. I was reluctant to try the steak and hash, but got it with our server’s recommendation and it was SO GOOD! …and the griiiiits! Chef’s kiss! Thanks for a great brunch!

This place is pretty good but not outstanding. The bread basket was phenomenal. I had the stuffed chicken which was pretty good, but not mind blowing, and the portion was very small. The service was just okay. No one was rude, but this restaurant is approaching the price where I start to expect some elements of fine dining, and they are just mid.

To start, the food was quite good. While the wine selection was somewhat limited, there were still options to suit different tastes. The waitstaff performed decently; however, I was taken aback by the unexpected 4% surcharge on the bill. I couldn't find any explanation for this surcharge on the menu or the company website. I find it highly misleading to impose a surcharge that isn't clearly communicated upfront. As a business owner, this is particularly frustrating. Although 4% may seem minimal—around $6.80 on a $170 check—it adds up significantly when you consider the volume of customers the restaurant serves in an evening. My initial instinct was to deduct that amount from the tip, but then I wondered—who would that really hurt? The staff? Should I even care? Perhaps if enough patrons did this, the staff might voice their concerns, prompting management to reconsider the policy. The real question is: why put your customers in such a situation? The food was enjoyable enough to warrant a return visit, but the experience left a sour taste that may deter me from coming back next time.
