Dat’s Italian is a family-owned and operated Italian restaurant. We pride ourselves on serving some of the best and most original Italian food in the Colorado Springs area.
We Love to cook, serve, and share our dishes with you!
Popular menu items include chicken cacciatore, eggplant parmesan, chicken parmesan, veal
parmesan, Lasagna and many Italian specialties! Make sure you ask for some of our home-made
mozzarella to go with your delicious meal! We have a full bar with an extensive wine list.

Parking for Dat's Italian! is very easy. There is street parking and a large public lot behind our restaurant. You can enter the public parking off of Colorado avenue and 26th St. Once in, you meander down right behind Dat's Italain! There is an alley beside our restaurant for easy front access.

While the name of the restaurant is marketably questionable, the restaurant itself has potential. Emphasis on potential. The mussel appetizer was amazing. Lots of garlic and a nice loaf of bread to go with it. We ordered more bread because the broth was so good. Our dinner selections were mixed. The scampi dish was not your typical dish. The shrimp was borderline undercooked and the pasta was mushy. But the flavor was OK. The pasta primavera dish had a wonderful flavor, but the broccoli was mostly stems, there were no peas, no zucchini, no yellow peppers, and a single sun dried tomato. We both had wine, Chardonnay and Sangiovese, both of which were excellent. The service was adequate. The extra bread that was ordered took forever. He did comp the bread, though. He referenced a large national Italian restaurant chain several times, contrasting his restaurant to it, which we thought was extremely inappropriate and demonstrated an awkward insecurity. Our waters were never refilled. Overall, the restaurant lacks a cohesive identity beginning with concept and demonstrated in service and food.

I was wanting a delicious Italian meal. I found this restaurant in the top 10 of Colorado Springs. (I believe it was ranked 3rd) Service was kind and attentive. Food was nothing to rave about. And considering I almost spent 30 on my meal alone. It was a huge disappointment. I loved the idea of supporting a family owned restaurant unfortunately we will never return and I don't recommend it to others.

The food was ok. It's not something I'd rave about. There's not a big desire to go back . Service was excellent!!

Customer service was phenomenal, 2 out of the 3 dishes were absolutely delicious and worth every penny, only one dish was average.

Family owned and run. My husband and I had an Italian salad and shared the lasagna. The lasagna was the best we’ve ever had! Service was great.

Absolutely blown away by the service, atmosphere and especially the food. My party of four decided on 4 different menu items. We each couldn’t decide which of our items was the best. The food was authentically made with precision and love. We can’t wait to come back to enjoy more!

We had a wonderful experience here. We were early for our reservation but were seated immediately. We ordered our meal and appetizer at the same time, and they both came out so quickly and our water glasses were never empty. We are traveling from out of state but definitely will be back!
