We are an award-winning restaurant with a beautiful waterfront location in Derby. We offer you classic British and European dishes with a modern twist, within a 200-year old former mill building: Darley Abbey Mills.

We also have two outdoor terraces so if you prefer, you can enjoy al-fresco drinks overlooking the River Derwent prior to your dining experience. We’re open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Darleys creates incredible flavours and stunningly-presented dishes that will delight you, all paired with the perfect wine or cocktail to make your experience complete.

Very very expensive for what it is. Sommelier and wine pairing were excellent and serving staff tried hard and were professional.

A true fine dining experience ! We both enjoyed the breakfast menu choices and those chosen exceeded expectations. The service was personal yet professional and every need was met. We will be back.

This was a lovely find for our one night stay in Derby to celebrate a birthday. Could possibly have done with some signage from Rugby Club (the suggested parking place) especially with the works going on outside and for out of towners, but we found you in the end! Highly recommend :-)

Overall a very nice birthday meal. Catered very well for party member who had specific dietary requirements. Would certainly come again and recommend based on our experience today.

It was our first visit to Darleys and we weren’t disappointed! It was a Friday lunchtime and we opted for the Bistro menu. I had beetroot risotto, beef cheek and pistachio/almond cake. The flavours were superb, the food was beautifully presented and our waitress was extremely helpful and professional. We had a window seat on the upper tier, overlooking the weir. It was too breezy to eat on the terrace unfortunately, where the views of the River Derwent are even better. A fantastic meal all round! We shall definitely return!
