This is my first visit to Darbar with group of friends last week. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was really good and lots of choice. It was a lovely atmosphere. I’d definitely go back.

Excellent service from Joseph and his team from start to finish. The food is authentic Indian dishes prepared in the kitchen viewable from the main restaurant through a window into the kitchen. This was our first time at Darbar's restaurant, it won't be our last.

My wife and I are returning customers. Best Indian restaurant within 5 miles of our home. Prompt and courteous service. Excellent food and good value. Can't wait to go again!

Always a fantastic meal at Darbar. We went with our children on this occasion and the waiter was particularly helpful with the level of spice etc to ensure the children enjoyed every bite!

Absolutely delicious food, the spice blending is sublime. We had the spinach and onion bhaji and the prawns and garlic for starters, freshly cooked and quick service. The prawns are plump and perfectly cooked and the bhajis crispy with a really flavour packed soft centre. We had the korma and the dog-pyasa for mains and they were the most delicious versions we had ever eaten, so many layers to the flavours. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Understaffed or overbooked. Service was poor. Main dishes appeared before starters. Other tables that arrived after us were served first. Drinks orders had to be chased. Of our dinners, 3 out of 4 were good. The Biryani was very poor and bereft of sauce. We'd billed this as the best Indian food to our visitors but a very poor experience on the night.

Booked a table online, when we arrived, we were told to wait 45mins to an hour as they were busy. No table had been reserved, me and my family had travelled 30mins at arrive and then had to find alternative place to eat. The alternative restaurant did keep our reserved table for us to enjoy. Darbar lost out

Dear Rahul, our sincere apologies regarding your booking. I have investigated and it looks like you first booked your table around 6.45pm for 7.30 when table was available, but then ten minutes before arrival time at 7.20pm you changed it or 8.00pm. As we were busy it is sometime not possible for staff to constantly monitor bookings. There was also no phone number associated with your booking to call back and inquire if you were running late after 7.30pm.
