I’ve been here several times previously when the food and service was great. This time, I was swarmed with fruit flies and the service was off. It was terrible. Flies were landing on our food, on us and buzzing around us all night. I told the staff, they were apologetic but didn’t offer to move us or do anything else. The restaurant wasn’t full but the service was slow. They brought our main dishes but forgot to bring our cutlery, we asked for our bill 3x, we had to wait for a very long time. Two of use ordered the same seafood pasta but we had different seafood on our plates. And there was barely any seafood. For $40 and I had 2 small shrimp that looked like it was cut in half, 2 clams and 2 mussels. Overpriced for what we received and the food was plain. That’s it. We went for a special occasion and it was not special nor a pleasant experience. We won’t be going back again.

Great venue, very cool and hip. The Sunday morning DJ vibe was great. Not too loud and helped with atmosphere. Food was lovely, only feedback point was two meals a bit cool temperature wise when they came out. The fall down on service was a latte being served that had been spilt over the saucer. As it was pu ton table it was - will bring a clean saucer, when expectation should have been not to deliver it in first instance, but to sort and then deliver.

We were a group of 4 - there for a birthday dinner. The restaurant is beautiful. The food is good, and the restaurant offered lots of gluten-free options for one of our guests. We started with olives, padron peppers, and butter lettuce salad. I really loved the salad - I would highly recommend it. For mains we had the chicken, branzino, rib eye steak, with sides of broccolini, brussels sprouts, fries, and baked potato. All were delicious and would recommend all of it. The ambience was busy. We were by the kitchen and saw the activity there. The restaurant also seemed to attract a younger demographic who took endless amounts of selfies by the bathroom. The service did leave much to be desired and did not align withe price point of the restaurant. Not sure what the issue was. There was a lot of staff all around, but they also seemed to be really busy. Our reservation was for 8:15, and we didn't end up eating until 10ish. Someone from the restaurant did come by to apologize for the delay. Nonetheless, I would go back to this restaurant as the food was good, and I would hope that the service is improved the next time.

We reached there at around 7:55 and got a table at around 8:10. We ordered our food; for the starter, I ordered bread and butter, and my fiancé ordered some beef, I guess. Even though we placed our main meal order with the starter, it took them 1 hour and 15 minutes just to provide spaghetti and a chicken burger (I don’t remember the exact name). I understand it was a little busy, but I believe waiting 1 hour for spaghetti is ridiculous. Overall, it was good, but a bit costlier compared to the service and the food taste.

First-time experience on the patio. Very comfortable seating. Food and cocktails were first rate. Shared the tuna carpaccio and mussels. Both were incredibly delicious - and the butter... what. was. that?! Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. We came early prior to the theater, we had plenty of time, never felt rushed. I can't say enough good things and will recommend Daphne to anyone looking to dine downtown.
