Over priced poor value, steak was good, not great, 2 entrees, shared a salad, 3 drinks between us $332

For my son's birthday, we try steakhouses to see who has the best steak. Though Daniel's Broiler on Leschi was good, it wasn't worth the price. I spent $800 for 4 people and though the food was good, it wasn't worth that amount of money. I do want to say that our service was wonderful and the waiter took great care of us. I appreciated his ability to make us feel welcome.

We always enjoy an excellent dining experience at Daniel's Broiler in Leschi. The food and service are always top of the line! It is one of our "go to" spots in Seattle!

Our waiter, Franklin, was awesome…attentive, efficent, courteous, personable, and fun. He helped to make for a memorable event.

Love the restaurant , but my last experience was mediocre. My first steak was overcooked and it felt like the second was rushed. Burnt on the outside and slightly raw to the point of being chewy on the inside. The popcorn shrimp were excellent.

It was a grossly disappointing experience. The restaurant was “out of” all its fresh fish offerings, including salmon and halibut, at 6:00 p.m.. I was told by one of the waiters that it had been without fresh fish for a number of days. Given my limited alternatives, I ordered previously frozen ahi tuna and asked that it be cooked medium as opposed to medium rare given my reluctance to eat raw fish. It was served medium rare. I ate maybe an 1/8th of it, and the scoop of rice that came with it. My guest, who had intended to order the halibut, ordered by default the king crab legs. I assume they were fine but came at a cost of $100.00. The cost of the dinner was approximately $260.00, though having neither alcohol nor desert. After dinner, I went home and had a honey crisp apple and almond butter to take the edge off my hunger. I don’t know what’s happened to Daniels Leschi. The restaurant has an extraordinary location, but its operations are in rough shape.

Have eaten here for years. Bad night for the server. He served the wrong potatoes to everyone & forget my wife’s desert.

A lovely restaurant on the lake. Expensive but good for special occasions. The view was great, the service ok. But the food was very disappointing. My bacon wrapped scallops arrived black with char. So hoped for better. My Caesar salad was bland. My husband’s salmon dinner was ok but not worth the price. Spent $225. for the food and came home and made grilled cheese sandwiches.

We were very excited for our first time ever at Daniel's Broiler. Our reservation was for our special 40th anniversary. The wait staff was nice; one even made a card for our table. We ordered a Caesar salad, a wedge salad, an 8 oz, and a 12 oz filet. Anticipating this meal, we were completely shocked at the quality of the food, how it was prepared, and how it was presented. Everything was extremely disappointing. The salads were bland (it didn't even taste like Ceasar dressing), the potatoes accompanying the steaks were bland (one baked potato and one mashed, tasting of nothing), and the steaks were mediocre. In addition, one of the steaks (medium) had to be returned twice because it was still medium rare. The supervisor came out with her flashlight and told us their steaks run more on the under-cooked side. However, this is not what the menu says. After it was returned the second time, it was burnt on the outside and still bloody rare inside. We were very surprised about the chef's ability. This is a very expensive steakhouse and we had expected better quality. The same goes for the presentation. The salads and steaks were just slapped on their plates. We ate at the Capital Grille and Ruth's Chris Steakhouse at comparable prices and had a completely different experience. We told this to the supervisor and she said in a slightly belittling tone that she would discount the one steak at 50%. I still couldn't eat it (too raw). Our server on the other hand sincerely apologized. This was A LOT of money for an unpleasant experience, especially for a special occasion. We left disappointed and won't go back to Daniel's Broiler, regardless of how nice the view of Lake Washington was.
