Toronto’s highly awaited DaNico has opened its doors in the historic landmark bank building in the heart of the Palmerston-Little Italy neighbourhood.

Created in partnership between hospitality giant Liberty Entertainment Group, Don Alfonso and Executive Chef Daniele Corona, DaNico offers the modern Italian culinary traditions accompanied by exceptional service and uniquely bespoke design.

Michelin star Chef Daniele Corona brings his exceptional talent to this fine-dining destination restaurant. As executive chef, his signature menu focuses on the modern Italian culinary traditions he is regarded for, combined with Asian influences, utilizing the very finest, local, and sustainable ingredients available in the country.

This exclusive experience includes return transportation and our 8-course tasting menu dinner for two at DaNico. The experience is $1,000 per couple, $1,800 for parties of 4 if they’re at the same address, $2,000 for two separate pickup/drop off locations, plus 20% gratuity and applicable taxes. Dinner reservations are Friday and Saturday at 6:30pm and 8:30pm. Our driver will pick you up 30-45 minutes prior to your reservation within radius of 30 minutes drive around DaNico.

We were a party of six and on my OpenTable booking I made sure the restaurant was aware of our allergies and intolerances, two of which were severe. The day before I was called by the restaurant to confirm the allergies as well as advising us that the kitchen will do their very best to avoid cross contamination. Upon arrival at the restaurant we were asked again if anyone had any allergies etc. which was surprising. When the 3rd course arrived we were shocked that one of the dishes contained mushrooms, which luckily was seen before our friend took her first bite. It was replaced but we were very shocked of this screw up and quite frankly for a Michelin Star restaurant this should not happen. The food was beautifully presented and was good but I wouldn’t rate it as outstanding compared to the many Michelin restaurants that I have been to. Our main server was very attentive but some of the other servers need to be better trained. All in all we had a nice evening but we won’t be back!

It was an overall fabulous experience and evening. They truly deserve that Michelin star can not wait to come back.

I dined alone and really enjoyed Although I ate at the bar the staff were very attentive and chatted at just the right times The food came out at the correct intervals and each meal was explained before each course My wine and water were topped up regularly Visitor from UK

First time at DaNico - certainly not the last time. Everything was absolutely stunning. The team was very attentive, skilled and friendly, the food - every course a culinary delight - also loved the beautiful tasteful decor. One of our new favorites in Toronto.

Food and service were exceptional, we were thoroughly impressed. We had the 8 course tasting menu and upgraded to the kobe beef, which was incredible. They most certainly deserve their Michelin star.

The food and service was amazing. We picked the regular tasting menu not the chef tasting menu, and it was still astounding. The chef menu comes with wine pairings as an optional add on, and it seems to be decent value given the price of the bottles. Would totally come again, everything was great, small portions but they’re delicious and they fill you up. They also give so many side add ons that aren’t listed, like different breads, an amuse-bouche, mini desserts.

It was a spiritual experience... We chose the tasting menu and it was spectacular. The food was creative and tasty, the presentation was outstanding. The service was very professional, and the waitress were extremely helpful and nice. Highly recommended

Graham our server was incredible. James the sommelier was outstanding. We loved our trip to DaNico and we will be back! Deserves two stars!
