Dametra Cafe is a casual Mediterranean restaurant. Here, diners can expect high-quality healthy food delivered quickly in a relaxed atmosphere. The decor and styling of the dining room is distinctly Greek, specifically like one of the many coastal cities that the country is known for. Between that and the hearty portions and prompt service, Dametra Cafe sits nicely between an upscale restaurant and quick-service places.Dametra's Cafe features primarily Greek cuisine, with some Italian and Spanish thrown in for good measure. Appetizers include hummus with pita bread, fried calamari, grilled jumbo prawns and steamed mussels in a white wine and garlic sauce. The meals are split between sandwiches, pasta and entrée offerings and features dishes such as shrimp and crab ravioli, a salmon burger with red onion and tomatoes, lamb shish kebab and a Greek style lamb shank with rice pilaf and fresh vegetables.

Service and ambiance was outstanding. Unfortunately can’t say the same for the food. As a Mediterranean foodie, I can say that the food was average to ok. Not great or outstanding, which for the price and location I expected. Grilled salmon and sauté spinach were just that, no seasoning or Mediterranean flavor.

Stopped by for drinks and apps for a late lunch. Service and food were great. It sounds like the dinner atmosphere is lively and fun. We’ll try that next time.

One of the best dining experiences that you can have. The food is amazingly fantastic. I had the Dametra pasta, which was delicious. The ambiance is even better. Someone comes to sing songs and have a dance every hour during dinner. Everyone in the restaurant has the best time. Worth the trip from anywhere and even worth going out of your way to make sure you go to Dametra!

As always our experience was awesome ! The welcoming ambience and environment makes one feel as though they are on vacation! And the customer interaction is so much fun and entertaining! The only difficulty is in choosing from the menu as we know from the past the portions are ample and must be shared unless one lives locally to take home leftovers as opppse to a hotel guest in the area. So we chose the Greek sampler dinner and it was perfect! The chicken souvlaki was tender and moist, the gyro meat mouth watering The tzatziki and humus made to perfection - robust and complex flavors that satisfy the most discerning appetite and food critic. The wine list was diversified and not over priced ( up priced as in many restaurants! And the service was prompt and professional - the wait staff was a pleasure to interact with- they know hospitality! And the live music was a wonderful addition while a bit loud they took many breaks and were not a distraction! We would recommend to anyone traveling to Carmel! Be sure to make reservations as the venue is rather small but well worth it!!

Chicken Kabobs were dry and the lamb shank was a bit dry and lacked flavor. This place is one of our favorites so hoping it was just a one time thing.

From the clam chowder to the prawn pasta and chicken kebab, everything we ordered was exceptional! There were also live music and dancing that surprised us! What a fun place! We’d definitely go here again next time we’re in town!

This is the most fun place. We were able to get reservations at 9:45-which was fine with us. The music was so fun and many people, young and old, got up to dance. It is really festive and the food was excellent. We had the non greasy fried calamari, clam chowder and some kabobs. Service was excellent!

The food is delicious here and the portions are big. The staff is great, they all are working hard and helping each other out. If you like Greek food this is the place to eat at.

We had a lovely late dinner. The food was fantastic, as always, and even got to enjoy a little of live music. The waiter was super kind and helpful with his suggestions. Great value. We will be back.
