Beautiful Modern Mediterranean restaurant by Chefs Laura and Sayat (Star Chefs and San Francisco Chronicle Rising Stars) at the Main Parade Lawn in the heart of the Presidio National Park. The restaurant's menus feature Presidio-inspired seasonal craft cocktails, a progressive wine menu, and a cuisine that balances the comfort of familiar Mediterranean flavors with California sensibilities.

In cohesion with the Presidio National Park, the design features soft, natural colors; repurposed furniture items from the Presidio; and a mural and a hand-drawn wall paper by Bay Area artist Emily Parkinson. Diners can enjoy a patio with a view of Alcatraz; an intimate private dining room; a lofty main dining room surrounded by windows on two sides; a cozy bar that is a local favorite; and an open-concept kitchen counter with counter seats and high tables.

    Fantastic birthday evening dinner with my wife. Staff and food were excellent; elevated dining experience, delicious cocktails and meal. Chef makes the rounds and shares stories on his curated approach and hand made delicacies. Don’t skip dessert. Great restaurant, we will return.

    A beautiful restaurant, but very loud ( when you have good hearing and you can hardly hear the person just across the table from you, problem!) and was not full. The flavors of the food and execution were delicious, however some of the portions were small( why are skimping on beans, the least expensive item on the duck plate? ) we elected to do the SF Week menu for lunch $ 49 per person. We both had the soup; the bowl was not full, a lot of broth with barely anything in it. Where were the lentils? Desserts were quite delicious, we especially loved the sour cherry sorbet. This review is coming from some with a long restaurant and hospitality background. Bonus points for giving some choices on the prixe fix menu, but the value could have been better. We will be back to try the regular menu. Service was friendly and prompt. Very good coffee and we enjoyed our alcohol free cocktails. Table setting and napkins also added to the experience.

    First of all, the food was really creative and excellent although the menu can be confusing on what is single serving and what is intended for sharing. It took us quite a bit of time to figure out what and how to order and our server was very helpful. Each dish was a delightful surprise to hats off to the kitchen. Service was good but not great - as we ordered many shared dishes sequentially, I was surprised that the wait staff did not replace our used forks and knives between courses and just set them back on the table. In one case, we have red tomato/pepper sauce on our plates and the grilled fish arrived and we had to ask for clean plates to share the next entree. There is an exceptional wine list with many surprises of wines from alternate locations that are very, very, very good. Because this is in the Presidio, I know that they are limited in what they can do to the interior but a hard concrete floor, hard walls and hard ceiling make the ambient noise rather loud and we have trouble talking at our table and, in some cases, our server had trouble hearing us as well. Seems that we paid premium prices for ok to good service and a very casual atmosphere so I would say it is a little pricey for the experience. But we would go back again as the creativity coming out of the kitchen was stellar.

    Although very small portions, the food was delicious. Our server, Anthony, was exceptional. The noise level was too high for us to return.

    The best elevated eastern Mediterranean food in the city and in my personal experience in the country. The service goes to the next level and achieves “hospitality”.

    We ordered several for the table dishes. They were kind of on a small side. For the seafood platter, they did not bring us crackers. I read about them in the menu afterwards. I was very surprised because the platter had calamasalata spread. The pita bread was good.

    Pas le temps de savourer les plats. Services trop rapide, stressante. Difficile de prendre le temps de manger. Direction du restaurant confondante. Devrait être mieux précisé. Meilleur hummus mangé de ma vie! Excellente nourriture!!!

    The lamb chops were outstanding as was the Andalusian salad. The salad is large enough for 2 or 3 to share! Service was excellent.
