Located in the heart of Fort Lauderdale and walking distance from the beach shore, Dal Contadino Trattoria is a celebration of rustic homestyle Italian cuisine. Indulge in a relaxing ambiance while enjoying handmade pastas, a catch of the day, Tuscany steak and daily specials crafted by Chef Nuccio.

Live Music on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays & Saturdays.
Social Mondays: 1/2 OFF cocktails, $2 meatballs/each. Wine Tuesdays: 1/2 OFF bottles of wine up to $100.
Happy Hour: special menu offering select food and drinks, everyday from 4-6 pm at the bar and bar area only.
Reservations for the bar are not accepted.

Last night, my wife and I indulged in a delightful dinner at Dal Contadino Trattoria in Oakland Park, Fort Lauderdale. The restaurant's festive holiday décor set a cheerful ambiance, and the friendly, attentive staff ensured a pleasant dining experience. We began with the fried calamari, which was fresh and tasty, accompanied by lemon and marinara sauce. An additional sauce might have enhanced the dish, and I'm confident the accommodating staff would have provided one had we asked. My wife opted for the eggplant parmigiana—a generous portion served with angel hair pasta. I chose the Troccoli alle Vongole, featuring thick troccoli noodles paired with clams in their shells. This classic Italian dish combines pasta with clams, garlic, white wine, and parsley, creating a flavorful and aromatic experience. The presentation in the cooking pan was a charming touch, keeping the dish warm throughout the meal. However, some clams had broken shells, requiring a bit of caution while eating. With no room left for dessert, we concluded our meal thoroughly satisfied. At $50 per person, including tax, tip, and drinks, the pricing was reasonable for the quality and portions offered. Overall, it was a five-star experience, and we look forward to returning to Dal Contadino Trattoria.

Our dinner and wine was excellent! Adalina was our waitress and she was wonderful! Great food and great atmosphere!

If you’ve had authentic Italian you won’t enjoy the food here. I was disappointed in the food. It’s tasty but just not excellent authentic Italian. When I asked for sliced Parmesan I was told they only have the powdered version. Which is odd for an Italian restaurant. Also the food comes out two minutes after ordered which also raises concerns. Is it not freshly made ?? The brochette was these thick pieces of toast, almost breakfast size, the zucchini flowers were awful too. This is a good restaurant for people who don’t know authentic Italian cuisine. I won’t be back.

We have eaten here before and always enjoyed their food. However, on Thanksgiving, it was a disaster. It took close to an hour for the appetizer house salad to come out. When our Thanksgiving special entree appeared, the waiter mentioned they were running out of food. This was evident by my tablespoon portion of mashed potatoes and stuffing, which ended up being cold. Our dinner included a choice of dessert from three pies. Unfortunately, they were out of two of three pies. We got stuck eating a pie that none of us wanted. Very disappointing Thanksgiving experience.

Food was excellent and our server Josue did an excellent job! Dominic, the general manager, was quite the host as well. We will be back again for sure!

This restaurant is one of my all time favorites. We are regulars here. The food is like being in Italy and the service is outstanding. They have a great vibe with live music and great cocktails and wine list.
