I decided to give this restaurant a try after hearing raving reviews from other locals, and let me just start by saying it’s even better than the hype. I took my husband here for his birthday and we thoroughly enjoyed the night. The great location on the corner made it easy to find in the busy Dallas streets and the valet gentlemen were friendly and ready to take the car making it a smooth transition. I enjoyed the ambiance from the time you step into the elevator all the way to entering the restaurant. We had reservations so there was no wait time. I appreciated the hostess wishing my husband a happy birthday upon seating us and making sure we were comfortable at our table. There was a happy birthday card from the entire Dakota staff with roses already at the table giving it a special touch. The star of our night though was our waiter Brian L. He genuinely took care of us and made the night so special. It was our first time visiting and he elaborated on the drink menu options available. After picking our drinks, he walked us through the menu thoroughly and recommended for us to try the 4 course tasting. He informed us we wouldn’t have to stress about what to choose from the menu and it did not disappoint. We agreed and he asked us a few questions to figure out what we liked. Brian communicated effectively with the chef to deliver some of the most heavenly food imaginable. My husband and I like extremely different foods and the chef was still able to accommodate us both. As every course was brought to the table, Brian was present and ready to inform us about all dishes presented. It is evident that he is passionate about what he does, knowledgeable about the menu, and has an exquisite palate as well. His infectious personality was the cherry on top. My husband and I rated every steakhouse we have been to and Dakota’s is definitely number one on our list. When our family comes in town to visit we will are certainly bringing them here for the experience as well.

Just simply a delicious meal and very good drinks as well. Not cheap, but damn good

This was my first time eating at Dakotas and it did not disappoint. I researched several steakhouses in Dallas where I could celebrate my birthday with friends and this one had great detailed reviews including reviews about Brian so I was so thankful he ended up being our server. He was so kind, patient and knowledgeable about the menu! He made this dining experience even more lovely. Will definitely be back and will ask for Brian!

Brain L was a fantastic server and provided an insight on the fan favorites at Dakotas. The crab cake lollipops, Aussie ribeye and cheese cake were all great recommendations provided by Brian. When I come back I’ll be sure to ask for him again.

Our first time to Dakota's the service was wonderful about 5 different workers wish me happy birthday. Brian was so helpful,he gave us his recommendation on the menu and was so attentive to us. The food was amazing we will be going back.

As usual the food was excellent, service was outstanding (staff and management), and the setting was cozy and elegant. The staff were responsive and curtuous. The host was very welcoming, accommodating and responsive to our needs. As always the overall experience was special and memorable. Thank you.

Professionally greeted soon as you walk thru the doors, friendly staff, service was amazing, very elegant for the occasion and our server Brian was very knowledgeable about menu items.
