Welcome to Daisy Tasker - our Scottish Bistro situated within Hotel Indigo Dundee and a stone's throw away from the waterfront area.

Our restaurant is a tribute to the heart and spirit of Daisy Tasker, a young mill worker from Dundee. Daisy was much loved for organising social activities for her fellow weavers. We raise a toast in celebration of Scotland’s cuisine, community, and heritage.

Our menus are created to feature Scotland’s best ingredients and celebrate local Dundee suppliers.
From fine Scottish dishes to stunning drinks we serve up memorable moments for everyone.

Daisy Tasker is open 5.30pm - 9.30pm Monday to Friday, and on Saturday & Sunday we are open from 12noon - 9pm, so book your table now.

From the Grill

All our meat is sourced from Dundee’s local, multi-award winning family butcher - Scott Brothers - a traditional family run business started back in 1935. All Scott Brothers meat is ethically sourced and the finest cuts of meat. Their meat on the bone is matured for at least 21 days to make it beautifully tender, whilst their steaks are matured and dry aged for at least 28 days.

They obviously dont have nearly enough staff. Service was pretty poor, very slow, wrong orders a couple of times ...... not good

Overall at 6pm on a Tuesday this was a good experience in every way. Not too busy or noisy. Decent service. Parking at hotel was full but DCC carpark 1 min away free from 6pm - so maybe book for 6.15pm!

I ate here on the two evenings when I stayed at the Indigo and on both occasions the person who took my order and looked after me was helpful, friendly and efficient. As a deaf person sometimes people treat you as if you are stupid, but this was certainly not the case when I ate here.

Dishes were beautifully presented. Haggis bon bons were light and. crispy and the risotto perfectly cooked. Much enjoyed the Chicken Milanese and the Cola float was a great throwback to my childhood. Aĺl in all, a wonderful experience as always.

Nice food, but not a wide selection. Great ambiance and secluded booths helps the conversation flow. Service was a bit patchy depending on who was serving. Some were very good and some needed a bit more training!

We had a lovely family meal to celebrate a 40th birthday. We really enjoyed our food and the waiter was very nice and attentive. We will definitely be back.

This was our third visit to Daisy Tasker. Staff were welcoming, helpful and efficient. We enjoy this venue as it is comfortable and not too noisy. The food was a little expensive but good nevertheless. An enjoyable experience.
