Midwest Italian restaurant focusing on house made pastas, utilizing vegetables from Chef Joe Frillman’s family farm.

Our bakery and cafe serves La Colombe Coffee alongside an array of pastries and sandwiches crafted by Chef Leigh Omilinksy.

Dinner reservations are available Tuesday - Sunday; we are closed for dinner service on Mondays.
Our cafe operates from 7:00am - 3:00pm every day.
Lunch is available from 11:00am - 2:00pm every day.
We do not take lunch or cafe reservations, it is first come first served.

Please note that there will be a 25% service charge applied to all bills. This goes to pay our staff equitably as well as provide health and other benefits not typically offered in restaurants.

This Logan Square pasta spot got a fresh start in a spacious home in 2023, after which it nabbed raves from the Chicago Tribune and a MICHELIN Green Star for sustainability. Much of the produce at this Italian-by-way-of-the-Midwest restaurant comes from chef Joe Frillman's brother's farm outside Chicago. Find it in playful dishes like onion dip with housemade Ruffles, fritto misto with cheese curds, and pierogi with mussels and beer.

This was hands-down, one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago. The menu was full of fresh local produce items that were incorporated throughout the menu. I also loved the twist on all of the cocktails :) I am excited to go back!!

Great little gem in Logan, but we made a reservation for 9/11 8:15 and were sat at 8:30, order placed after 9…left at 11… wonderful experience and I understand that quality dishes take time, but the whole process seemed to have intentionally been very slowed down. Not the worst thing ever, just good to consider when planning your experience. Great pasta, could have gone without the tomato bone marrow toast and fried veggies and cheese, likable server who seemed passionate and engaged without being corny. Restaurant was totally full and it was very loud, I think it’s an excellent spot but maybe just not for me as I am childishly impatient and fidgety in restaurants, and do not care for loud ambient noise and bright lighting. I was grateful there was no music. My boyfriend is more patient, not so adhd and likes people watching when we go out, and he had a wonderful time which is all that matters as it was his birthday.

From being welcomed and seated even though we were very early to the server generously and graciously taking time to go through the menu and pointing out what can be modified for a vegan to the most incredible pasta dishes we’ve ever had and finally being surprised by the restaurant with amazing desserts to celebrate our anniversary; it was a spectacular experience.

Loved every single thing about dinner. The entire menu looks incredible, I wanted to try everything. Great vibes, great service, great dishes.

Best service we've had in a long time. Food was incredible: interesting, approachable, balanced, and delicious. Great selection of wines by the glass and large variety of NA drinks. The only drawback was how loud it got, but we are kind of old I guess.
