ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!! Chef @barbara_pollastrini from Rome, Italy recently opened this little gem. She is living her dream with her new restaurant, @da_barbara_p …It is an intimate little place where Chef talks to you as she cooks the most amazing authentic, Italian food. Literally every single dish was incredible! Felt like I was back in Italy. 🇮🇹 She’ll tell you stories about how she cooks 5 different types of tomatoes differently, then blends them together to make her sauce. And how she gets the most tender, high quality meat from a farmer in Ohio who only sells to a select few. Her menu changes daily depending on her fresh farmer’s market finds. 10/10. Superb. Bring your friends. Tell your friends. It’s special. It’s authentic. GO!✨ I could go on & on about every element of every dish—the ricotta, the carrots, the peas in a sauce with the fried mushrooms that I died over, the focaccia bread I could not stop eating, the Arancini balls, the filet mignon roll...🤌🏼💀…I got lucky and she had a Bolognese Pasta special that was so incredible, I got another to-go—-and it was the last one of the night. Okay, I’ll stop—wait, the dessert! I can’t. 💀💀

Wonderful, delicious authentic Italian cooking! I was a single diner and first guest of the evening, and to my delight seated in a cushioned bench right in front of kitchen. Such attention to detail from the server and Chef Barbara. Bring your own wine ! Highly recommended!

I am in love with this place and will go back again soon. Barbara is lovely and it feels like you were being hosted in someone’s cozy townhouse. Everything I’ve had has been delicious and I can’t wait to try more. Note it is BYOB for now so bring your own wine.

So many new restaurants opening, but very few that exceed the mark with respect to food, service, and ambience. The small space is gorgeously decorated and very intimate, so with the open kitchen, it truly makes you feel like every table is the Chef's Table. Every dish is prepared by Chef with such care and attention to detail that each bite is packed with flavor. I appreciate the small dishes so that I can order MORE dishes! We ordered: -King Oyster Mushrooms: cooked perfectly over an INSANE pea/green onion sauce -Meatballs: Chef's special recipe, meat just falls apart -Focaccia-a must to sop up the sauces -Tagliolini w/ lemon sauce: perfectly balanced, especially if you love lemon in pasta which I do! -Tortelli-MUST order! Filled w/ slow-braised filet mignon -Gnocchi All'amatriciana-Guanciale is made in-house, so another MUST order! -Maiale al Latte-incredibly tender pork and one of my fave dishes! Service was attentive but not bothersome. We never had to ask for anything because she always had it ready. Excellent! For the level of cuisine and service, I think the prices are definitely fair and worth the visit! I will be back to make my way through the rest of the menu! Grazie mille!

Outstanding experience. The service was amazing and they were warm and welcoming. Made us feel like friends rather than customers. Food was perfection. Such a unique experience to be able to see your food being prepared by someone who so clearly loves what she does. Will definitely be coming back when I’m in the area.

OMG! One of the best meals we’ve ever had. It’s like being in someone’s house while they prepare dinner. The place is small, only nine tables so you get great service. The focaccia bread was amazing. Too bad they’re just a titch too far from Pantages. If you’re running late from dinner, you’ll be running to get to the theatre. Not a great way to end a fabulous dinner.

da Barbara is the best restaurant for a celebratory dinner, a romantic date, even a low key business meeting. Barbara is an excellent Chef and is rightfully proud of the boutique experience she has built. I urge everyone to make a reservation, bring a nice bottle of wine and enjoy the tasting menu so you can experience as many of the delicious dishes she presents.
