We enjoyed our dinner so much! Maci was wonderful. She had someone shadowing her and she too was wonderful. Great experience! We’ll be back soon.

The atmosphere for a fine dining restaurant was horrible. The steak was improperly cooked, the lettuce in the Caesar salad was bad and the salad did not contain the proper ingredients, the greens in the garden salad you needed a knife to cut to bite size, baked potatoes were horrible and the server never returned to refill the wine glasses or water. Lighting was very bright with a high noise level. I will never return to this restaurant. On a scale of 0-10 I would give an overall rating of negative 2.

To my wife and I this place was mediocre. From the food to the service to the ambience. The wine included. Would not go back for the steak again.

Both are hush puppies and shrimp were a bit over fried the point of possibly burnt there were two of us. We requested a booth and we got a booth to the side of us with a table of six or seven. There were much too loud. I am handicapped and need a handicap parking spot. All the spots were taken, but there were at least five vehicles parked in handicap parking that did not have the proper documentation.

I’ve sent a message to the management privately already. I’ll say this - steaks were good, cooked correctly. One missed an additional topping that wasn’t corrected correctly. Everything else was off from the place being lit up like they were getting ready to close to the servers largely being untrained for a fine dining experience. They were once, just a short time ago, a great alternative to driving to Ridgeland or Madison for a really good steak and dining experience. Not so much any more. Hope they figure it out before they turn the space into additional buffet tables.

The food was wonderful, all of the steaks were cooked exactly as they should be. Our server Kathy was also terrific. Very courteous and attentive.

Everything was great just as I expected. We didn't receive our dinner rolls, but we may not have had room for them anyway. The service and the place was great!

My husband & I chose a Friday night @ 6pm for a date night. We have visited McLain’s steakhouse several times and have enjoyed our experiences. We were given a corner booth. Unfortunately, the seats had not been cleaned before we sat down as there were crumbs left. Not a deal breaker. Other than that, our eventing started out great. We actually commented that it was nice and quiet. My husband ordered the pork chop with a baked potato and wedge salad. The pork chops were a little dry. Not bad, though. He ate every bite. I ordered a salad with grilled shrimp. The greens & tomatoes were fresh. The shrimp were grilled and seasoned perfectly but I’m thinking they were frozen but I didn’t ask because we were so ready to leave. The noise level had intensified greatly. I miss the times where you could go to a restaurant and sit in the corner & speak in a quiet voice with your date. We basically could no longer carry on a conversation because of the noise of other diners around us. If you’re looking for a quiet date night, McLain’s may not be what you’re looking for. We would definitely eat at McLain’s Steakhouse again with our families but we will choose another restaurant for an intimate dining experience.

We loved this steakhouse! Highly recommend and we will certainly be back. Our server Macy was great! The food was so good and my steak was cooked perfectly!
