Welcome to Culinaria, an elegant casual fine dining venue located in Mississauga, ON inside the old Elliott House.

This heritage site was built in the 1860's by Scottish settler, Adam Elliott. Adam's son John is also notable for having built the first reaping machine in Canada. John Elliott sold the property in 1886 and many owners followed. In the late 1980s it was converted from a residence to a restaurant.

We are now offering a featured Business Lunch Menu! Choose between soup or salad of the day and one of our features proteins of the week as your main, accompanied with your favourite side. If you crave to finish your meal with something sweet, change your side for a special dessert. Portions and recipes are created to offer a balanced meal and prepared quickly for those who need to head back to the office.

Join us for an ALL NEW couples cooking series! This summer, we decided to spice things up with some brand-new recipes and a fun summer twist on our ultra-popular couples cooking classes. In the spirit of summer, we’ll be cooking recipes based on the freshest ingredients available each week, with no set menus or recipes planned in advance. This means each class will be a unique culinary adventure, filled with spontaneity and creativity. The class is about 3 hours long. Each session will be an opportunity to discover new tastes, experiment with different cooking techniques, and enjoy the process of creating delicious meals together.

Very good cuisine and polite service. Please do not begin clearing the table until all of its diners finish their courses.

Exceptional experience as always. Of note Kyle is an amazing host, he pays great attention to detail elevating the dining experience. My partner and I had the chef’s steak of the night alongside a side risotto which was the perfect consistency and texture. To top the dinner off Kyle brought out an amuse bouche on the house. Culinaria is the definition of top class dining

Waitress was forgetful and unprofessional, Waited ten. Minutes for a spoon and got charged for sparkling water when it wasn’t ordered

We usually pride ourselves for the high standard of our service and food, but unfortunately we had some unexpected organizational problems that affected the quality that typically defines us. By constructively accepting your criticism, please accept our apologies for not living up to your expectations. Hello Sukhi. I am glad to hear that at least your main was alright. But "alright" is not enough for us because we always try to offer the excellence. So imagine our feelings on read your review about salad and dessert. I have to admit that we had some struggles that night but this does not justify poor food quality. We hope to welcome you back soon and show you the high-quality dining experience we are known for.

We went to the Culinaria for a set menu dinner on Valentines Day. The service was very poor, but not totally unexpected as it was a special night. The food; however, did not live up to our expectations based upon on-line reviews. My steak was over-cooked and the lamb-chop was raw. My husband's food was ok, but not great. We will not return.

Liz, we are sorry about your poor experience with us. We always try to do our best but some struggles on Valentine's Day caused some problem in our flow with some guests. Not acceptable in a restaurant like ours and we apologize for it. We appreciate your feedback. The restaurant was clean, nicely decorated and the service was very professional and prompt. Unfortunately, the food was not as hot as we hope it would be. We could have asked that it be returned to the kitchen but didn't bother. It is one of those things that make you hesitate to make another visit there again.

Our dining experience and the general ambience was excellent. We were greated, out of the cold, with a cozy fireplace and seated next to one during the meal. We had the Valentines Menu, which was not only well planned and executed, it was excellent value when compared with the Valentines offerings of other restaurants. The decor was lovely and well-spaced tables allowed us the privacy we preferred.

Tasting Menu - this didn't happen. Although the open table site confirmed that we''re going in for a tasting menu, the server sadly mentioned that it's not available for our reservation. Food - very very disappointing. Not sure what I was expecting, but I at least wanted the food to be cooked properly. What did we get? Bread + herb and garlic butter - sadly the best part of our meal (aside from the mains potatoes) Amuse bouche - some kind of salmon that seemed fried and topped with a sauce - decent. Fried Calamari(see picture) - battered to oblivion, rubbery as heck, burnt parts that scratched the roof of your mouth, raw batter in the middle. Had better calamari from pubs Alfredo flatbread - initially gave us the margherita. I think the server took the wrong order. Again, decent, but the dough in the middle was raw. Chicken (main) - potatoes were great. The chicken was moist, but not much flavour going on. Had better chicken at wedding receptions. Was a bit disappointed. Steak (main) - this was the biggest head scratcher. My fiance asked for medium rare. First one served was practically well done. Not even close to medium. We could tell as soon as she struggled to cut a piece of it off. The server apologized (honestly felt so bad for him) and got the steak redone. Second one was received and it was rare... At this point we just wanted to leave. It almost seemed like we're being pranked at what we're experiencing. Price - paid $183 for two people including the tip (we still tipped 15% because of how nice the waiter was). The price is fair for the amount of food that you get, but they did remove the mojito from our bill due to their mistake with the food. Service - our server was great. He definitely took care of us and apologized profusely for all the kitchen's blunder. Both my fiance and I cannot remember if he mentioned his name or not, otherwise, he made the dining experience bearable. I was really looking forward to the experience, but left disappointed
