Cucina Buca has become a regular destination for us. The dishes have never disappointed. I’m my opinion the best Italian cuisine in midtown.

Was delighted with the meal and drink options. Pizza and pasta combo (share) is the way to go. Looking forward to going back.

Very unprofessional staff! The manager was extremely rude from our first appearance as he sneered at us that we were there for summerlicious! The staff lied about the last bottle of a wine we were served prior to bringing up two more bottles from the cellar! They opened it to give us a taste and weren't straight forward about it being the last bottle. We ordered espresso and a side shot of sambuca for desert and they brought a meagre cup of less than the volume of two ounces! We called them out and the staff got really defensive and unprofessional, instead of bringing us what we ordered they essentially said we were wrong and didn't seem to care! Our table of four contained industry people who have worked, owned and managed bars and fine restaurants, we were all saddened by how poorly trained this staff was and how they didn't have any pride of the job being performed. There is no excuse for rudeness in any service industry. Don't waste your money here, go to one of the truly great Toronto restaurants in our vibrant city. Just not this one.

The quality of the food at this restaurant has plummeted since it first opened. The last 3 times I’ve dined there it was hugely disappointing. The restaurant is always almost empty so there is little ambience. The polpo with chickpeas and Lima beans is just that, 3 overcooked octopus tentacles that were so tough I couldn’t eat two of them, and some chick peas and Lima beans sprinkled on the plate. Terrible. And $39. The Funghi pizza was very good. Our server was for the most part attentive. I would be hard pressed to return to this restaurant after 3 disappointing visits.

Very enjoyable dinner at Buca. I had the Torteloni which was a little too buttery but otherwise delicious. My husband had the Summerlicious menu with the Pomodor Salad, Veal Scallopini and Tiramisu which were all very yummy. The highlight was the Pomodoro Salad with straciattella and pesto which was also melt in your mouth. Wine was very good and service was prompt and friendly. I highly recommend Cucina Buca. I really like the bright, airy, open design and the fact that the ambiance is relaxed and quiet.

Loved the anchovy appetizer. Very unique dish which you don’t see everywhere. I had the smoked roasted chicken. It was delicious, lightly spiced and moist. Our server was also very attentive.
