Crispin is an all day restaurant & wine bar in Spitalfields serving seasonal sharing plates, low intervention wines & cocktails.

Our chefs are led by the talented Lewis de Haas (ex Petersham Nurseries & The Shed). They deliver a European inspired menu, using locally & sustainably sourced ingredients from independent growers, small-scale farms & producers (think seasonal croquettes, organic British vegetables, sustainable seafood, classic cuts). We also have a natural wine list, bottle shop & wine club curated by our Head of Wine Alexandra Price, where we focus on natural wines using indigenous & rare grape varieties.

The glass & zinc pavilion is located on White’s Row, Spitalfields, on the junction with Crispin Street. We have seating for 40 inside in view of our open-kitchen & 20 on our garden terrace.

I am quite fond of this place. It's a charming and easy oasis away from Liverpool Street and the food is consistently good. We were there for a long lunch yesterday and the staff were fab.

Highly overrated!! There is a hype about that place and their ig is amazingly tempting but all those expectations were not met. Service was pretty good except for the fact that you ask for tap water and they bring you filtered o2 and charge it (forcing a second bottle right before the bill to push up sales). If you are going to charge it let me know, it is not a problem when advised first. The food was… awful:-( very sad to say. Our worst experience in London after 10 days. Everything was under seasoned and of course no s&p on tables. Acidity goes a long way!! -The cold pork (almost porchetta style) dish was so bland with that heavy mayo plus the cut was so hard even my knife did not make it through. I had to spit it back in the plate. Did not eat the dish and nobody ever asked if something was wrong. -Mozarella was the best dish that evening, nothing to say there. Great sauce with the mandarins. -Crab dish was bland bland bland… it was saucy and overwhelmingly un-tasty. Did not once end up actually tasting the crab, the sauce took over. By that point we wanted to cancel everything else we ordered but the hot dishes made it to us before we had a chance to ask. -Monkfish (I believe it was) looked great with the tomato and greens. It would have been a success but the fish, on bone, was undercooked. It was so hard to cut off the bone we left half on there. It was actually cold next to the bone. The tomato was the highlight of the dish. -Fried potatoes were good but again covered in a heavy mayo. Honestly, the place needs some managing staff that checks things like that; front of house and in the kitchen. Nobody should have to pay two bad dishes they could not eat just because no one bothered to do their job as a wait staff. It felt like a tourist trap where everything is expensive for what you get and where the food and service is bad but it is a bit what you expect in that situation. Not what we expected when we arrived in that beautiful restaurant.

Delicious food and drinks, including one of the best deserts I've ever eaten - will be going back for the brown butter pudding as often as possible! Lovely atmosphere and top service.

Our first visit to Crispin's and we were very impressed. The staff who greeted us handled a walk in customer before us very well, even though the gentleman couldn't understand why there wasn't a table free for him and his party - although he hadn't booked. We were then asked where we would like to sit and choose the Terrace as weather was exceptional. We we offered water and provided menus quickly. We made our food selects and were offered advice regarding an appropriate accompanying wine. Waiting staff were professional, courteous and provide humour, where appropriate, with all customers. The food was excellent and wine choice spot on. Well done and keep it up.

Staff are all wonderful, ambience is perfect and the food is delicious but the size of the plates is a bit of a joke for the price, even if it is in London. 15 quid for some roasted onion and feta and it was absolutely miniscule - the bread and the small snacks are actually better value than the rest of the menu which is unusual
