Christmas is so much more than just the big day itself and we'll keep the festivities going all the way through December into the bright lights of 2025! The advertised set dinner menu was not available despite being advertised on the website as a great way to finish the bank holiday weekend. Also we wanted to order dessert but were then told the kitchen had closed 40 minutes earlier at 7.30 pm.

Excellent service, all staff friendly and helpful. Waiter went above and beyond to make us teas and coffees. Food was delicious and plentiful. Price was reasonable and on par with what we’d expect.

Great last minute family meal out to celebrate the last day of the school holidays. Bar staff were friendly and helpful and good was delicious. Also parking just outside was great.

We was refused entry because we had our 11 month old baby with us. There’s nothing on the website saying they don’t allow kids. It’s was pouring it down outside and we wasn’t even allowed to stand in the door way under shelter whilst we decided what to do. This was on a Thursday can I just add.

They seemed surprised we’d booked online for a table. Was told to just find a table. Didn’t eat until 1 hour and half after ordering and food was not worth the wait 🥶

We have been before for drinks and it was great the last few times. We decided to book for Sunday lunch and 6 of us went. First of all we have to seat ourselves even with a booking, we weren’t even shown to the table the girls just pointed and then told me I could find menus on surrounding tables. Second of all there was no service given to us. For every round of drinks and when ordering our food we had to go to the bar ourselves. We ordered out food however one of our party is vegetarian and allergic to nuts. My partner was told you do not do the regular menu on Sundays however she could switch the meat for cauliflower cheese or potatoes. I then ordered this at the bar for her however I was told I could not swap the meat for anything and would have to pay for a roast I just wouldn’t get the meat. We were then served our food. The beef was absolutely gorgeous and tasted amazing. The chicken however was so dry it was inedible. It was literally inedible. I also ordered a side of pigs in blankets with which I revived 3. For £2.50 I kind of expected maybe 5 not 3 cocktail sausages. No one checked on us during the meal, no one came to see if the food was okay. We stayed for a few more drinks however we won’t be returning for food again.

I made a reservation with open table and got a confirmation number but when we arrived at the restaurant that had no record of the reservation! They said open table didn’t call and make any reservations! They sat us in a timely manner but I was disappointed in this situation. Tom Zander
