Credence is a South Texas, ranch-inspired upscale restaurant with a focus on live-fire cooking. Chef and two-time James Beard Award-nominated restaurateur Levi Goode's inaugural concept promises a culinary exploration of Texas through his unique perspectives on the region's food, people, culture, and the culmination of a lifetime of stories.

Beautiful place excellent food. I personally do like having to order everything at once. I often change my mind after an appetizer. They don't allow that and they also do not allow substitutions. I always thought most restaurants try to please the customer. They also ran out of cranberry juice early in the evening. HEB is just across the Freeway. I will give it another try because the food is very good.

First time at this new place. Great service by Catherine who took us on a tour of the menu. Food was good. Not great. We had snapper and something called a “pork rib chop”. Never heard that foodie terminology before but it was crispy fried and HUGE. We didn’t have steaks so we’ll be back to check out the wagyu for two. We were really interested in the “French fry service” and it was a lot of fries with 4 dips. Meh. Gotta serve fries HOT IMO.

Excellent restaurant! Food and service was outstanding. We started with drinks at the bar and enjoyed the ambiance and the great cocktails that the bartenders made. We started with a couple of appetizers, tried the steaks and the fish, and closed the diner with an excellent coconut pie dessert. Overall great experience, you feel welcome and well serviced from the moment you cross the doors. We are definitely coming back and we will also try drinks at the speakeasy bar that they have.

The dining room is stunning without being stuffy. Felt very approachable, along with the menu itself. Our Benton ham appetizer was outstanding, and the pork schnitzel is not to be missed. The bbq shrimp were perfectly cooked and the sauce was delicious, but the accompanying grits/ravioli hybrid was kind of odd. Didn’t detract, but seemed a little creative for creativity’s sake. Cocktails were balanced and priced appropriately (the $30 cocktail is getting out of hand). Good selection of wines by the glass. We were already plotting our return before the check came! So many things we can’t wait to try!

Trey was our server, and he was awesome. He looked like Edward freaking Norton btw….Everything from the moment we walked in was amazing. Go read the book “Unreasonable Hospitality”, then come here, their team has read it……. You will not be disappointed. They went above and beyond to make our last minute anniversary dinner amazing. Great atmosphere, amazing food, appropriate prices, and the chef is the real deal. If you skip this spot, you will regret it.

This was an outstanding experience. The waitstaff did an amazing job guiding us through the menu. So many choices but we loved what we ended up with…the seafood Tower, monkey break, duck for the table. The ambiance was on point as well as the evening. We will be back

Food was excellent! They’ve been open for a couple of weeks and still trying to adjust. The Chef visited the table for my daughter’s birthday and it was clear the senior staff were trying to make some great moments. The junior staff still needs some finesse but are overall kind and knowledgeable.

Great addition to the regional dining scene! Whole duck service is one of the best entrees I have had in quite some time. Staff went above and beyond in general, including managers Greg and Ike. Looking forward to future visits.
