Credence is a South Texas, ranch-inspired upscale restaurant with a focus on live-fire cooking. Chef and two-time James Beard Award-nominated restaurateur Levi Goode's inaugural concept promises a culinary exploration of Texas through his unique perspectives on the region's food, people, culture, and the culmination of a lifetime of stories.

Repeated mistakes with our food left us eating after our guests. The steak was off the mark. It took three times to cook it to medium rare. The whole experience was a real disappointment.

I’ve been eating at Goode Co restaurants for years…since 1989 to be exact….and I’ve always enjoyed the food and creativity of the restaurants…..but on Credence they tried too hard and they are not in their lane. The menu is just odd. Limited and not what one would expect. The server was great and the surroundings are very pleasant but the menu is just off. The food was not bad but for what they charge it fell way short. Unfortunately we won’t be back.

This was the 8th time I’ve eaten at Credence. Consistently great. Roasted chicken main, shrimp cocktail, crab claws, Caesar salad, cabbage side, French fry service, Bundt cake and buttermilk soft serve are some of the best dishes I’ve had in all of Houston. Hamburger is great and the duck for the table is amazing but big enough for 4. I haven’t had anything I would return for.

My 2 girl friends were celebrating my birthday with me, and this is the first time I visited Credence. The service was exceptional, food was great and the ambience is lively but elegant. We all had the snapper with trout eggs in the sauce. Delicious! I had a wonderful lunch and will surely return again to try other dishes.

Took my boyfriend for his birthday, we had an awesome experience! The service, the food, the vibe- all 10/10. Definitely will be back. Dylan was great!!

A truly great restaurant. Food, especially salads, fish and steaks are world class. And the open fire preparation creates unique flavors.

Unattentive service the whole evening despite the restaurant being half full. The tuna entree was awful. Steaks were good but nothing spectacular. The flatbread starter was not good either. Overall disappointing food with subpar service. I won't be back. I've been once before and enjoyed it more but the menu is lacking variety so there are not items I want to come back to try.

We chose Credence to celebrate my wife’s birthday and are very pleased that we did. The dining room has surprising elegance. Staff is very attentive but not intrusive. We enjoyed a relaxed evening without being rushed. All drinks and food courses had a special unique element to impress. Standout dishes include the snapper and shrimp entrees. Pan de campo was also better than expected. It must be the quality ingredients that are evident. We like that Credence has a clear identity and plan and succeeds at be unique while safe in a crowded and competitive food scene. We hope to return often.
