The team behind Crave Fishbar, NYC's first 100% sustainable seafood restaurant, is enhancing their reputation as the go-to fish brand by opening Crave Sushi Bar, directly next door to their midtown location of Crave Fishbar, and in keeping with the ethos of the group, have a focus on sustainable domestic fish.Items such as Local Sea Scallop Nigiri with beurre noisette and celtic sea salt; Kona Kampachi Sashimi - shiso yuzu pesto, topped with popped quinoa; Dressed Hudson Valley Steelhead Trout Sashimi highlight Chef Mitgang’s bold approach to the cuisine.Beverage program is overseen by Brian Owens with a large sake selection, cocktails paired for the food menu, Japanese whiskys, and tequila, which Owens believes is a great pairing.The space is centered by a sushi bar, comfy booths and banquettes with seating for 60 people. Their responsible and ethical sourcing practices carry over into the materials used for the design: weathered metals, textured woods, an oceanic color palette.

Great restaurant, smartly done, food very tasty, Montauk bream particularly, wine by the glass just spot on, we had a very good time.

Excellent sushi and great starters. The restaurant smelled bad when we walked in but all 4 of us thought the sushi was fresh and tasted good.

My first time at Crave Sushi Bar. Sat at the bar and not only had a great dinner but also an informative and friendly chat with the chef for both Crave Fish and Crave Sushi who was starting the evening there. Happy hour offerings were yummy and reasonably priced, but I also dove into the main menu and was not disappointed. Will definitely be back when I am next in town.

One of the BEST places I have eaten in NYC! On par with the BEST sushi restaurants in Vegas!! We were pleasantly surprised!! Well worth it, which has not been the case while traveling to NYC! A rare GEM!

We were so fortunate to find Crave Sushi Bar as our Pre Show dining choice. We got there for their happy hour menu and everything was so fresh and delicious. Our waiter was fantastic. My wife has Celiac and they have so many great Gluten Free options and were so accommodating. Everything our waiter recommended was so good. My wife and i really enjoyed everything. Highly recommend Crave!!

the food was amazing and creative. Everything we ordered, the rolls , sushi, sashimi one was better than the next, the scallop was outstanding. Can't wait to go back!
