For over a decade Crave Fishbar's bustling #oystergram happy hour features over a dozen oysters from $1.50-2 an oyster. Over half off regular priced oysters shucked to perfection by their award winning shuckers at the raw bars. From 5-6:30 enjoy small bites from Chef Todd Mitgang along with $9 cocktails and wine, $5 beer, $35 bottle of sparkling wine, along with $8 oyster shooters. You can reserve a table or pull up a seat at the raw bar and talk to your oyster shucker about his favorite picks.

I am never disappointed in the food, drinks or service here. The only downside is that it can be very noisy and some tables are awkwardly located.

When will restaurants acknowledge that the reason people go to restaurants is not just for the food but the experience? If all we want is a quick place to grab some food with no ambience we can go to any number of very good, much less expensive counter places around the city. Although we had a reservation, we were seated in a cramped booth shoved into the pass through between the two main seating areas of the restaurant. We could practically touch the service station and kitchen door across from us. We asked if we could move and they said they would move us as soon as a table became available. We watched several parties of two be seated at perfectly fine tables while we waited and waited. Eventually we were moved but the experience was ruined. The food here is fine, certainly not the best I've had, but I'd be hard-pressed to return given our experience. The noise level, by the way, is ridiculous.

I readily get the attraction of Crave Fishbar. Our calamari appetizer and salmon and Seabass entrées were delicious, well prepared and plated. My margarita was made to perfection. It must be said, however, that the ambience was less than desired. In my opinion much could be improved with regard to noise level reduction, and seating was cramped. We went to the restaurant to celebrate our anniversary, but found it less than amenable to such a celebration. We may well entertain going back for the food, which again was exquisite, but will be better prepared, maybe this time with earplugs (not kidding ).

This is the second time we've been to Crave and it just wasn't as good this time. The barramundi was too heavily seasoned with miso. The salmon was overcooked and dry, even though we ordered it medium rare. The asparagus was stringy and the brussel sprouts were soggy with this odd spicy tomato based sauce on them. All of these dishes were disappointing and just not good. We were surprised because Crave is after all a seafood themed restaurant and their fish dishes should be superb. I'm not sure when we will be going back.
