Covino is a small owner-run wine bar & restaurant in the heart of Chester. We serve daily-changing menu of seasonally inspired small plates, guided by the quality and provenance of ingredients, with a real focus on simplicity and flavour.     Very good small (I mean small) plates from a relatively short menu. Lemon posset was outstanding. Nice glass of wine. Rather expensive for what it was.

    It is such a treat to eat and drink here, the food is always so good, and the wine is something else, incredible! We absolutely love coming here.

    What a lovely restaurant. Fantastic food, great menu, delicious wine, lovely atmosphere and exceptional service. Highly recommend everybody to try!

    We had lunch at Covino recently, the small plates are perfect for sharing and each dish was completely different so we enjoy lots of different flavours. The curried Tatar was outstanding, it was like eating a meal with so many different textures and flavours. The staff are really knowledgeable with wines and what pairs well, overall a great experience.

    Nice and relaxed atmosphere. We sat at the bar on stools but the whole experience was really excellent. We didn’t have a dessert, but the rest of the food was really fresh and well prepared. . The wines as you might expect are also excellent and were matched well with the food
