Covino is a small owner-run wine bar & restaurant in the heart of Chester. We serve daily-changing menu of seasonally inspired small plates, guided by the quality and provenance of ingredients, with a real focus on simplicity and flavour. This is served alongside an extensive, yet thoughtfully chosen array of over 130 different wines from around the world, ranging from the classics, all the way through to the more left field.

    Second time at Covino separated by 2 years. Standard of food and service remains very high. Very friendly and relaxed place with outstanding food. Highly recommend.

    Such a fantastic experience. Warmest if welcomes that makes you feel right at home, followed by an hour and a half of delicious food and wine. The changing menu means loads of interesting seasonal dishes that can be paired perfectly with a glass of your choice. Love coming here and will definitely be back

    Lovely service and team. Very attentive. Incredible food and great wine selection. One of our favourite places in Chester!

    Great food, service adequate but not really set up for 4 comfortably. Staff hanging around, waiting to leave by 10.15! Seems to have lost some of the atmosphere and ambience of the Covino of old!! The experience didn’t quite match the price tag unfortunately!

    Very good small (I mean small) plates from a relatively short menu. Lemon posset was outstanding. Nice glass of wine. Rather expensive for what it was.

    It is such a treat to eat and drink here, the food is always so good, and the wine is something else, incredible! We absolutely love coming here.

    What a lovely restaurant. Fantastic food, great menu, delicious wine, lovely atmosphere and exceptional service. Highly recommend everybody to try!
