We serve daily-changing menu of seasonally inspired small plates, guided by the quality and provenance of ingredients, with a real focus on simplicity and flavour. Always a fantastic experience here at Covino, I love sitting at the bar to eat and enjoy the ambience…it’s small & intimate and there’s always just the right amount of buzz around you but you can still hear yourself speaking! It’s as close as it gets to a Parisian cafe in the North West .

Excellent thoughtful food-forward place right in the heart of Chester. We loved the feeling of the place, very warm & attentive but equally struck a great balance of letting us enjoy the dinner ourselves at the bar. Only regret is not getting a bottle of wine as they look to have a superb range of lesser spotted varietals.

Fantastic from start to finish, superb bistro small plates expertly cooked and great wine alongside, service was friendly, knowledgeable and nicely informal (in a really good way), will definitely return

Brilliant and unusual food and I must say really excellent service. A bit over-priced and this detracted from our overall memory.

We were the only diners (13.00 on Friday) but we were made to feel special and there was a chance to chat to the proprietors.

Great venue, food was exceptional the seats are a little uncomfortable but the food wine and service more than make up for this! Must visit if you appreciate good food and good wine
