Upon entering the restaurant, guests can peer into the Butcher Shop through a glass wall. This is where the steaks are personally selected, cut, and branded for you. This expertly maintained, climate-controlled environment also features dry-age coolers and pink Himalayan salt brick walls where 100% U.S.D.A. primal cuts are aged between 21 - 28 days for extra flavor.

This was our first time at Council Oaks. We were greated and seated right away. The atmosphere was perfect for our date night. The food was great cooked to perfection although the steak could have used some seasoning. The potato soup was my favorite. Our server Justin was polite and accommodating. Eduardo kept our water filled without skipping a beat. Thank you to everyone who made the night special.

The food was amazing! However took a lot longer than usual, at one point the manager came over and let us know he was sorry and it would only be 5 minutes or so. He said he would comp our table side dessert and get us drinks. Unfortunately the server we had wasn’t very attentive or friendly. The dessert was on our bill, which was disappointing. We didn’t want to make a fuss about since we had already been there for almost 3 hours so we just paid the bill and left.

Waited 2 hours for our food to find out it would be even longer because they lost or ticket in the back so our order never got to the cook, then they brought the bill out without removing any charges, didn't try to offer a discount for the trouble or anything, terrible service, terrible manager.

I have went to the restaurant quite a bit and loved it. But something was wrong this night we left because how long we were waiting on our food for over a hour. It wasn’t just us it was a lot of other that left. I hope they fix whatever was the problem with the kitchen because I love the food there.

We were attending a comedy show and chose to dine at the steakhouse beforehand. Our reservations were made with enough time to comfortably make the show. However, after an hour, we noticed that other guests who arrived after us were receiving their food, while we were still waiting. We were repeatedly told that the manager was looking into it, but it didn’t seem like that was actually the case. Eventually, I asked the host to send the manager over directly. When the manager finally checked on our order, they returned to inform us that the food was being plated and would be out shortly. However, when our meals arrived, everything was cold—despite the long wait. It was unclear why the food had been left to sit rather than being served immediately. On top of that, our waitress also brought out the wrong drink. In the end, we didn’t eat the steak, pork chop, or sides because they were extremely cold and had to be sent back. My sister, feeling hungry, ate her steak and lobster, while I ate my short ribs, which were also cold. Given that we had been drinking, we just made the best of the situation. The manager offered a free meal for the following week, but since my husband and I are from out of town, we won’t be able to use it—though my sister and her boyfriend might. A more reasonable resolution would have been a discount on our check, but that was never offered. Overall, both the service and the food were extremely disappointing.

Our server Justin was wonderful. He explained menu and always checked on us to insure our food was great as well if we needed anything. Thank you Justin for making our dinner experience over the top fabulous. The food was cooked to perfection. We had Ceaser salad, onion soup, prime rib, bone in rib eye, baked potatoes, asparagus. Serving are worth the money.

We have eaten here one other time. The first time, 2 years ago was 5 stars. This time not so much. The hostess was pleasant and wished us well for our anniversary. The food was good, with exception to the broccolini, which was way overcooked and dry. We politely pointed it out to the server and she stood there in disbelief. Looking at it you could cleary tell it was overcooked; she of course offered to redo it or take it off the tab. We asked that she have the kitchen redo it which they did and it was much, much better. The service started out good. After the manager came by to ask how everything was, we told him “Excellent.” However, after his visit service tanked. We had leftovers which we had to store in the containers ourselves. Their attitudes also changed, generally, I have found that the closer to check time, attitudes improve, likely hoping to get a better tip, not this time. We had to wait forever for our check, then again after the credit card was given. Not one person acknowledged our anniversary after the hostess did. Not even a complementary “anniversary” desert was offered. We spoke with the manager again as we were leaving. He apologized and said he would speak with the staff. He also asked that we give them another chance soon. Likely we will, maybe. I feel that for a tab of $250 for two people, we just didn’t get our money’s worth, not did we feel appreciated. I figure if the manager was sincere in his apology he would have offered us an incentive to “give them another try in the future.” None given. Not that we were expecting any kind of incentive but it would have gone a long way in at least making us feel appreciated. Food = Good Service = So, So Appreciation = Zero
