Our Weekend sharing board combines the finest cuts of meat - Sirloin Steak with peppercorn sauce, Confit Pork Belly with Calvados jus and succulent Grilled Chicken with mushroom sauce. All served with your choice of three sides. Our Weekend menu can only be ordered in multiples of two.

Waited a long time for my drink, 20 mins, and our food hadn’t arrived after after an hour. We asked the maitre de/manager if they could see where our food was and it arrived ten minutes later. We had to eat it quickly as we were attending the theatre opposite and we’re running out of time to get there (having given ourselves an hour and a half three quarters to enjoy our meal). Staff didn’t give us the deal on the two course meal until we pointed it out so they charged us for an extra dessert. Not a great experience from a restaurant with a great reputation.

Absolutely excellent meal and super place to eat, brilliant staff and super sublime food, loads of gluten free choice for my wife and yet we ordered the same meal Moules frites and crème brûlée desserts. Left alone but well looked after,

Unfortunately we had a table behind with a lady that was quite loud think she is a regular but we heard all her conversations and her speaking to numerous people on the phone. The waitress was not very knowledgeable and a bit of over the place Then saw her smoking outside which i dont think gives a very good impression and not cotes standards. One of our starters came out way before the other 3 so that was nearly finished before the others came out We have been to alot of cotes and this was not the best

We had set menus as we were heading to a festival event and it was tasty, quick and efficient

We both had the prix fixe lunch menu which was excellent value and very flavoursome. The pan fried sea bass was delicious and the cheese board was excellent. The house rose wine was extremely good value and tasty. We had a delightful lunch with attentive but not intrusive staff.

After a fairly enjoyable meal it took well over 10 min to attract any staff member attention to get the bill and then a further 5 min for anyone to take payment A staff member who till then had not been seen appeared with payment machine already set for payment on inspection the charge was £240 more than the planned £160 bill His attitude was appalling and then totally Shocked when I asked him later why he had done such a thing he arrogantly and without any apology snapped ‘ mistakes happen ‘ truly spoiled a day with friends

The service was very good from the kind waiters and waitresses. The drink selection was good, but some of the food was unavailable, and my crab starter was very watery and salty. I wasn’t impressed with the availability of the steaks either, they were all reasonably small. I would say what really made the visit was the staff, who are lovely, and the drinks a close second. The chairs were particularly uncomfortable by the way, but I was lucky to be able to swap that out with one next to me, which had some cushioning on the back.

As always a treat with great food, ambience and service. The staff was even kind enough to let me in before the restaurant even opened (thanks for the misinformation Google 🙄). Looking forward to my next booking.
