I booked a table for 6 people. Additionally we had a baby which I didn’t include as a person and asked for a high chair. We arrived and the person who seated us made us feel most uncomfortable telling us we should’ve included the baby and booked for 7. My mistake, and my husband apologised and asked if we could put the high chair on the end of the table. The waiter replied we have other diners there (pointing to the adjacent table of 2. It would have been easy enough to move the table away a little (which someone later did anyway). Then a waitress came over and told us we should have booked a table of 7 and as she walked away shouted ‘You’ll know for next time!’ We felt so unwelcome we perused the idea of leaving but stayed as the younger ones in our party were telling us not to fuss, thus creating a further divide. The ladies on the adjacent table arrived much later and didn’t even bat an eyelid at the high chair or even look in our direction. It left a sour taste in our mouth as we don’t see my student son often. We were excited for a lovely evening as we have never eaten in a Cote before. Furthermore it wasn’t exactly cheap with the bill being the best part of £300. The highlight of the evening was a different waiter who took our order and served our meal. He was absolutely delightful, friendly and helpful and honestly couldn’t have done more for us. I pass on my thanks to him. Before we left the next day we went for a cheeky Nando’s. The greeter on the door asked the party size. We replied 6 plus a high chair. Ironically she said 6 then!

My wife and I took my wife’s 95-year-old Mum out to lunch. As always at Cote the staff were attentive and kind and the food was delicious. We’ve noticed recently that the superb value of the past at Cote has started to come under a bit of pressure and that’s a shame, but that seems to be the way of the world! We paid just over £30 a head for two courses, with soft drinks and coffee all round. Not bad, but we may forget the coffees next time! Thank you Cote…another lovely meal.

The lady we had serving us yesterday was so lovely. Would recommend. The food was incredible and love the ambiance and we were left alone so didn't feel rushed at all. Pretty good value set lunches too :)

Excellent service from all staff Portion size for Salmon Fillet was too small Would have been nice to have some basic salad with it without paying extra
