Introducing Cornus, a rooftop space in Belgravia, the second restaurant from David O’Connor and Joe Mercer-Nairne of the acclaimed Chelsea restaurant, Medlar.

Chef Gary Foulkes will lead the kitchen, joining from the Michelin-starred Angler to offer a regularly changing menu. Foulkes will lead the kitchen, combining his ingredient-led approach with flavours and techniques encountered on his travels around the world. Foulkes will create an à la carte menu of creative, elevated dishes, grounded in the traditional principles and techniques of French cuisine. The menu will showcase the best of the British and European larder. David will lead the Front of House team alongside Wine Director Melania Battiston.

    Not cheap but the quality of the food was amazing. So nice to eat in a restaurant where the staff have the time to serve you diligently and with humour.

    Fantastic food and service. The ravioli and cod dishes were the stand out courses from the tasting menu but everything was outstanding. Very enjoyable meal and evening

    The service (especially from David) and food were brilliant in a lovely space. At the higher end in terms of expense but, on balance, probably worth it for a treat.

    We had a wonderful experience at Cornus on Thursday September 19. The tasting menu featured an array of exquisite seafood and fish dishes that were truly remarkable. The creativity and flavors were exceptional. Cornus undoubtedly deserves a Michelin star! I look forward to returning.

    Exceptional service and hospitality! Cornus has a bright, beautiful, and inviting dining room. The food was incredible. The langoustine dish is one of the best. Would 100% recommend.

    Eaten at Cornus twice in the past few weeks - A La Carte the first time and Tasting Menu the second. Each visit had flawless food and service. This is a hospitality A Team assembled by the Medlar owners with excellence in the kitchen from Gary, and Kelly , and Melania who has curated a great wine list that rewards exploration and offers a much kinder mark up than you will find at other similar restaurants. This is a new favourite restaurant and one that will certainly get the star it deserved soon but it’s the warmth of the welcome, the genuine hospitality and the brilliant precise cooking that will keep people coming back
