Cork & Gabel, a restaurant fusion of Irish, Italian, and German cuisine, opened in 2018 in Detroit's Corktown district. We are known for our use of modern techniques on old school classics. European comfort food is a staple at Cork & Gabel. We pride ourselves on being a scratch kitchen, sourcing and using Michigan vendors including farmers and small business. Fresh is key when it comes to providing a great experience and we make everything we can fresh and in house.

Dined with 2 friends, and we three enjoyed it tremendously! Started with drinks which were all delicious and a nice size. For dinner I chose the Michigan arugula salad with fried goat cheese. So good and filling! Would def get again. Both of my friends got the lobster and shrimp ravioli. I sampled a bite and it was fabulous. They both ate every bite! No room for dessert today 🫤 but plan on returning to get the donuts for dessert next time!

Good brunch, drinks and chill vibe. Biscuits and Gravy, Gable Wings, aperol spritz, yum yum.

Met two friends at Cork & Cable on a Thursday night. I was there one other time and had the wild mushroom stuffed ravioli and it was to die for! This time I had chicken marsala and it was prepared perfectly. Great service, relaxed vibe. I'll be back!

Cork and Gabel were not on my radar. We only made a reservation there because Open Table brought the restaurant to our attention. There was good indoor seating as well as outdoor seating. We chose the outdoor seating. It’s really nice and their patio area and now you have the newly renovated Train station to look at. We ordered pretzel sticks and goat cheese as appetizers. We had lobster and shrimp ravioli and lamb pasta dish. The burgers that other tables had ordered looked so delicious as they passed by us, but we wanted to try something different. We were very pleased with all of the food we ordered. And we thought the price was fair. Two beers two appetizers two entrées our bill was $82 before tip. We will be returning.

Ordered a bunch of appetizers- two iterations of fried cheese, pretzel sticks, and calamari. The first 3 were fine, nothing spectacular, but alright. The calamari was a miss. It was strips of calamari steaks - so not my preference, but it was just not good. I was excited about the BLT schnitzel on rye. It broke my heart. It was so incredibly dry that it was somewhat difficult to eat. The burger and fish & chips were OK. I don’t see myself coming back. Our server was friendly, hostess was adequate but not overly welcoming. The booth we were seated in was covered in crumbs on the bench and some dried stains. It felt more like a TGI Fridays than a downtown restaurant. French fries were absolutely top notch - I have to give them that.

We had a great time celebrating my birthday. I brought my own cake and the chef cut it for me and my guests, without me asking. Our server was awesome as well. The food and drinks were EXCELLENT! Definitely will be back!

Ariana was a fabulous server. She was efficient, attentive and knowledgeable. The food was beautifully prepared and presented.
