Cork & Gabel, a restaurant fusion of Irish, Italian, and German cuisine, opened in 2018 in Detroit's Corktown district. We are known for our use of modern techniques on old school classics. European comfort food is a staple at Cork & Gabel. We pride ourselves on being a scratch kitchen, sourcing and using Michigan vendors including farmers and small business. Fresh is key when it comes to providing a great experience and we make everything we can fresh and in house.

We ate here as a group of 9 adults after touring the Michigan Train Station. We were fortunate to be able to park in the lot. The cocktails were amazing - loved the jalapeño infused tequila cocktail! We thoroughly enjoyed the food - the calamari appetizer was prepared very well and there was a good amount. Several ordered hamburgers, also schnitzel, chicken marsala and salads. All very good and good sized portions. One person got blue cheese dressing and said it was the best she ever had - and she’s had it in many places! For dessert we tried the Irish ice cream and chocolate waffle - absolutely delightful!! We would definitely eat here again.

We arrived quite early for our reservation but were seated right away! Ordered appetizers and entrees and all the food was delicious!! Love the ambiance the views and the live music. Casey was a great server and checked in often. Great experience for my friends visiting from NYC. Will definitely come back and bring more friends!

The food came out quickly, was hot and everything tasted great. The bartender was fantastic. It was lovely.

Went for Father's Day brunch...menu had lots of choices and food and service was very good. We enjoyed the outdoor table and the great views of the train station... we'll definitely be back.

Perfect location to celebrate Fathers Day, after touring the Train Station. Sunday brunch was excellent as were the drinks and service. I love this place and so glad my parents enjoyed their first visit. They will definitely be back!

The outside dining area is covered and has large, well-spaced tall tables. There are "garage doors" and heaters which make it usable in many conditions. This area is much quieter than the interior. A good view of the nearby Michigan Central Station added to the ambiance. The menu is wide-ranging, and for our brunch we chose the doner kebab and corned beef and swiss omelet. Both were delicious and had generous portions. The kebab came with some delicious fries. We did not try any of the cocktails, but our iced tea was freshly brewed, served with lemon. Our server was friendly and very efficient. A real bonus is a large, free parking lot, as well as being able to make reservations. We were really impressed with the place overall, and plan to return soon.
