Acclaimed Sicilian Chef Accursio Lota serves up authentic cuisine in a cozy 60's-style Italian trattoria. Voted San Diego's Best Chef five years in a row, and Barilla’s World Pasta Champion, at Cori Trattoria Chef Lota serves up beautifully bold dishes like Agnolotti with Spring Peas and Beef Bone Marrow, and an unbelievably rich Vegan Parmigiana di Melanzane. The menu melds the flavors of Sicily and Italy with the best of fresh, locally-sourced Southern California ingredients, and is matched by a curated wine list and cocktail program that include indigenous, bio-dynamic varietals from all Italy.

The current Spring menu features dishes like Agnolotti with Spring Peas, fava bean, and beef bone marrow, and Cacio e Pepe with sustainably-sourced Petrovich caviar.

Enjoy full-service table seating, grab a place at the marble-topped bar, from which you can watch all the action of your meal being prepared in the open kitchen or just order your meal to enjoy at home with your family.

Enjoy dishes by Chefs Accursio Lota, Drew Deckman, Andrew Gerdes, and Luca Zamboni while supporting the charitable cookbook San Diego Seafood: Then and Now. Proceeds go to its publication and three charities: San Diego Fishermen's Working Group, MAKE Projects, and the Indigenous Futures Institute at UCSD. Can’t attend? The staff was excellent from the beginning, and they made sure to make the evening special because it was our anniversary. They not only congratulated us but also gave us Prosecco and a card saying Happy Anniversary (and the staff all signed it). The food was amazing, very traditional and handmade. We will definitely be coming back…it is our new favorite Italian restaurant!

First time at this highly-rated restaurant and my feelings are mixed. We were seated on the patio and enjoyed good service from Alex. Focaccia appetizer was outstanding; hamachi, good. Three of us ordered the gnocchi, which was meh -- very lacking, taste-wise (but for a couple dollops of pesto). Others ordered the lasagna and said it was good. Tiramisu was outstanding. I'll try again!

Our server, and maitre d’ were more than accommodating. We were treated as valued guests. Attention given to us was excellent. Our server brought us two small samples of wine to help us decide on a wine. At our request the music outside was reduced. From the seafood pasta to the double lamb chops the deftness of the Executive Chef/ Owner was consistently brilliant.

Great restaurant. We took it in for my GF's birthday. She was thrilled to find a cards signed by the staff waiting at our table. Food and service were excellent. Ambience was friendly albeit conversationally loud. It was a fun place to celebrate as a couple.

This was our first experience and we would definitely go back. Lovely Italian wine list, the Insulate and the Carpaccio were to die for. We then tried the lamb and it was perfectly cooked - worth a visit for sure ...

I took my girlfriend here for her birthday and we had the best time. The staff is extremely accommodating and helpful, the food was amazing (we got the 5 course tasting menu), I can't recommend this place enough.

Dined there this evening on the patio for my husband’s birthday. Loved the relaxed vibe but don’t let that fool you. The food is amazing. Fine dining level with attentive service but not fussy. Pricing is more than fair for the quality of the food and service. Austin was excellent in guiding us through menu and wine list. We don’t live close but will definitely come back. Lemon mousse dessert was so creative, beautiful, and lovely.

Better than we expected! We’re Italians from NJ and are very picky with Italian food but this place knocked it out of the park! The rice balls, meatballs, and lasagna were TO DIE FOR!
