Core 450 is an instagrammable destination, to delight all the senses, from breathtaking views to our expansive outdoor patio complete with a full-service open kitchen just north of Travelers Rest, South Carolina.

The restaurant led by owners Matthew and Renee Jennings and Chef Gene Magliaro serves refined, rustic cuisine, innovative libations, and a world class wine list. Known as a “must visit” among the Upstate’s dining scene, Core 450’s professional and passionate team are constantly striving to push the boundaries of excellence with well-rounded menus that feature classic dishes and drinks with contemporary twists rooted in tradition.

The poutine was very good. The breakfast burritos were not our favorite. Service was wonderful.

This was our first visit to Core 450 and we absolutely loved it. Everyone was super friendly and helpful and the menu was awesome. Lots of very unique dishes and wonderful flavors. Not to mention the cocktail menu and beer selection were top notch as well. We will definitely be back again soon!

Had guests in town and tried dinner here. Food was very good (salmon and sea bass); as were appetizers (calamari and brussel sprouts). Service was OK, but not equal to the food quality. Servers need some basic training (appetizers came out but table had knives but no forks). Server quality disappeared before we could ask. She was very pleasant but could use more training. Very young team (both servers and cooks) with no senior management visible; therefore lots of staff time talking together versus in the dining room. Would return based on food quality.

We ordered the trash bowl. However there were no eggs, no spinach gravy nor home fries on the plate. We were actually told that tater tots would be substituted for the home fries but nothing was mentioned about no eggs nor spinach gravy. Overall the food was good but we didn’t receive what we ordered!

Mostly great experience. Felt our server was new, she did a fair job, but didn't give us information about specials. Loved the fact that kitchen staff wished us a happy father's day on our way out. We will be back!

Everything was delicious! Our waitress, the cook staff, and the bar tender were very friendly. We particularly enjoyed the elk ribs, salmon, and the baked brie. Core 450 is our favorite for 'nice restaurant' occasions.
