Brought to you by Award Winning Chef Michael Chiarello and located at Pier 5 on the bustling San Francisco Waterfront, Coqueta is inspired by the cuisines of Spain. Chef Chiarello feels that Spain’s signature ‘small plates’ coupled with the social vibrancy of their dining scene is the perfect combination for San Francisco, which has its own deep-rooted history with the country. Focusing on regional dishes from Madrid, Catalonia, the Basque Country and beyond, the menu will feature Chiarello's interpretation of traditional Spanish cuisine and, as has always been his tradition, will highlight the bounty of fresh, local ingredients from land and sea.

Coqueta means “flirt” or “infatuation” in Spanish, and represents Michael Chiarello and his team’s exploration and interpretation of Spanish Cuisine, wine and inspired cocktails, while highlighting the bounty of Northern California.

We always have an excellent meal here. Don’t miss an unlikely choice of huevos roto. The fish and pork mains are so good. Service is outstanding.

We had two skewer things, the quail egg and the mushrooms, and they were both good because of the jamon Serrano. Then we had the eggplant bocadillo, it was a little grilled sandwich cut in half and perfect for two to share, it was delicious. We had the kale salad, hubby thinks it’s too much flavor as in dressing was too strong. But I loved the flavor. We had the land and sea paella, which had great flavor but I think the to of the shellfish was a little dried out. The shrimps were peeled for you, and were perfect. Dessert was Mancheco cheesecake which was so gooey and a little runny on the inside. So good.

My friend and I had the best dinner! Our waiter Nickolas was so knowledgeable about the menu’s and the order we should have our food served. He was attentive in a busy restaurant on a Friday night which I’m sure is not easy. It was an absolute delight. From the ease of the reservation process to the food and service! Already thinking of a reason to go back!

We have eaten at Coqueta several times over the years. Excellent, modern Spanish food at its best. What made this particular visit so special was our server Nikolas. A very knowledgeable and friendly guy. Can’t say enough about Nikolas. Coqueta is not a cheap Place to eat, but the combination of excellent food, outstanding service and a beautiful location makes for a great outing!

Coqueta never disappoints! As always, every bite is a treat! Our favorite dish is probably huevos roto but truly, everything was wonderful.

This was our third visit to Coqueta spanning 10 years and once again it was a dining adventure. If I had anything critical to say it was that the tables would not accommodate more than a few tapas courses at a time. Otherwise the dishes were each special. For us the standouts were the duck/pork meatballs and the mushroom platter. The flan for dessert was a complementary birthday special

We had a wide selection of tapas and pintxos in addition to drinks and dessert with coffee. Every dish was beautifully presented and delicious. All of it really took us back to dining in Barcelona. The waiter was friendly, helpful, and appropriately attentive throughout our meal.
