Dynamic Takes on Modern Traditions. Copper Bar is one of Kohala Coast’s favorite dining and gathering places. Casual, creative tapas and entrees incorporate locally grown ingredients and are easily paired with a selection of craft cocktails, locally-brewed beers, and wine. Gorgeous sunset, gentle breeze, friendly staff, (Grace always amazing), delicious food. Mahalo Copper Bar for another memorable dinner. Sushi, flatbreads so crispy & warm, delectable fish of the day perfectly cooked, and tender butterfish were enjoyed by us all. And the ending of malasadas-don’t leave Copper Bar without eating them!! We will be back again.

Hopefully when the hotel completes its remodel project this restaurant will rise to the level it should for this iconic resort. Food was adequate but not special. Manager was awesome, clearly understands the concept of customer service.

Copper Bar serves up first rate sushi. Love their Udon noodles and flatbread pizzas. Drinks are resort level expensive but nice. Thank you Copper Bar.

Consider booking elsewhere during the construction period. The meal, service, and ambiance were not worth the cost, though the view is impressive from certain spots

One of the worst service I’ve ever experienced especially at a “high end” restaurant. Wife and I went there for our anniversary as we were staying at the Westin Hupana resort. We had 7:30pm reservations, told them it was a special occasion. We were greeted by a haphazardly busy hostess whom we later discovered was actually the restaurant manager. They sat us at some obscure table so far from everyone that we asked to be moved. They obliged, and I was hopeful the night would go well afterwards. I was wrong. I’ve worked at many restaurants over the course of my life, and when I tell you we had terrible service, I hope you don’t think I’m exaggerating. No greeting, not a single menu description, or even eye contact for that matter, it was as if I was ordering at a drive through. “What do you want to drink? Anything else?” That kind of service. Server took the order and ran off to god knows where. I think he was doing side work in the back, because it seemed like we were his last table and he was eager to get out of there —at 7:30? Who gets cut at 7:30pm on a Friday night? Drinks came, we ordered appetizers, then entrees, and again the server seemed bothered to take our order. Take an order and vanish was his style. We needed a steak knife at one point and it’s as if were on a deserted island, except with people there who didn’t want to acknowledge we were there as well. My wife tried to flag down one of the other servers, and I kid you not, this other server makes direct eye contact with my wife and turns away as if she never saw her need for some kind of service. This is a restaurant, it’s called the service industry for a reason. I finally got up and went looking to a manager whom I couldn’t find, so I asked one of the bussers to help me track one down. Then here comes the hostess/manager to help. “Hi, how can I help? Anything else I can get you?” It’s like I was talking to the one responsible for this lack of service culture for this restaurant team. Food was decent

We had a great and relaxing time at Copper Bar. It was very quiet and the food and service were excellent. As a bonus you can walk down to the water and see the manta rays feeding right by the shore.
