We went to Cooper's Hawk for a Valentine's Day dinner. We are not drinkers so it was immediately apparent that our server was disappointed that our ticket would not include several expensive drinks. So she started to push sparkling water as if it were the normal water brought to the table. We said no. I saw on the menu that the sparkling water was $7. It was the same with the pretzel bread she wanted to bring to us. She was kind and knowledgeable, but a lot of the atmosphere and recommendations center around alcohol (they make their own wine, so I understand). But being two sober adults we often feel like we receive less attentive service because our tickets are not as high. Our food was decent. Nothing special. Our meal was $100 (before tip) without drinks. One appetizer, two meals (one burger, one fish), and one dessert. It was a once and done experience for us.

As usyal, the experience was great. Tonight we met a server new to us named Mary. She was very friendly and efficient. We had to chuckle when she asked if we had been there before, since in 2024 we had been at the Wheeling facility 53 times. Mary has been added to our list of favorite servers.

They use too much butter on the food,pistachio crusted fish was just swimming in butter as long as grilled veggie side. Wine is delicious though.

After about one year we dined at Cooper’s Hawk in Wheeling. The restaurant was very quiet because of the snow storm in Chicago area. The appetizer of Sweet Chili Was excellent. My Burger was excellent except the bun on the bottom appears to be tough as if it was frozen. For that, I deduct a star from otherwise an excellent meal. The service was the highlight of the evening. Our server, Bella was superb, authentic and pleasant. I recommend Cooper’s Hawk. Btw, I had a glass of Meritage wine and it was delicious.
