This is our favorite local restaurant and the food is always great! This time our service was less than acceptable. It was slow, lacked communication and we often felt ignored. We will return for the food and because the service is not usually this poor. When you spend this amount of money on a meal. You expect spectacular service. Tonight was not the night.

We have been wine club members for about 5 years. We usually have lunch or dinner several times a year. We had not been in about 7 months until yesterday. The food was fine overall. We had soup to begin which was hot and good. We waited a long time for our entree, jambalya. When it did arrive it was barely lukewarm. I guessed it had been sitting for some time. We both ordered the jambalya and how long does that take and then arrived at the table barely warm. The food tasted fine but we left both with the feeling that the visit was just okay. Nothing that would entice us to plan a return trip in the near future. They have done better in the past.

We made a reservation for our anniversary at Cooper’s Hawk. We have been here a few times before, and enjoy their food. After being seated, we sat at our table for about 20 minutes before any server acknowledged us. After our waitress situation was squared away, service was pretty good. We had the chicken potstickers, spaghetti, and Parmesan chicken-we were most impressed with the potstickers and spaghetti. Everything about the evening was fine, but nothing spectacular. While I think we’ll be back for another occasion, I don’t think CH will be our first choice.

Made a dinner reservation for my Birthday, but it seemed like I didn’t get a special attention from the server. Always like to come here for a special occasion but this time I wasn’t please with it.

One appetizer was never served. The manager gave us a free dessert to compensate. Food was delicious. Server was excellent. Kitchen was slow.

I had a delightful experience dining at Cooper's Hawk restaurant. The food was delicious, and the staff were exceptionally helpful and accommodating in answering all my questions. I have already recommended this restaurant to my friends and family, and I eagerly anticipate my next visit.

Love Coopers Hawk but they need to improve their service as it relates to reservations and the length of wait, lack of waiting areas and lack of table beeper. Last night we never received our drinks timely and didn’t receive the second order at all. Then had to wait 30 minutes to be refunded for drink order. These type of issues are frustrating and there is too much competition in Virginia Beach for this type of service to not have a negative impact to repeat customers.

Overall it was a very disappointing dinner. One of our main dishes had undercooked chicken and overcooked pasta. The calamari was overcooked and rubbery. The steak medallions and grouper fish had little to no seasoning. We have had better visits in the past but the quality has been going down the past couple of visits.
