We felt as if the quality of food has diminished in the last few years. And we were disappointed. Mainly because we normally looked forward to eating a Coopers Hawk.

We had a reservation at Cooper’s Hawk from 5 to 8 p.m. The ambiance was beautiful, and we enjoyed the wine selection and food. The restaurant was very busy, so our wait staff was super occupied, making service a bit slower than usual. However, it was nice to see the managers hands-on and helping the team—it made a big difference! Overall, it was a good experience, but they might need more support for peak times.

We LOVE Cooper's Hawk. We have been members for 7 years and eat lunch or diner there at least 3-4x per month. We spend a lot of money at Cooper's...we are ambassador level members! Tonight's experience was an exception. The November monthly news letter said the new chef's recommends specials started today, October 29th. We wait for this speciality each year, it's amazing. All 4 of us ordered it, Butternut squash ravioli. 55 minutes after ordering the manager came out and said that they weren't serving it yet. Really? They didn't know this 45 minutes earlier??? The manager was very kind & comped our meals, which was nice, but it took another 40 minutes before we were served! We've never experienced this kind of service before and hopefully won't again. The food that we substituted was delicious, that wasn't an issue nor has it ever been. We will certainly continue going to Cooper's Hawk, but just wanted to express our disappointment in tonight's service in St. Charles. Though the wait staff seemed to have plenty of staff members, It seemed like the kitchen help must have been in dire need of help. This was a Tuesday evening at 420pm when we were seated in the restaurant, not Friday or Saturday night at 600pm!

They were out of the one meal option I’d specifically came for, the short ribs. Then they were also out of the wine of the month. I could not sample or pickup my club wine! My friend who was also dining with us ordered a Coke, it came flat, the second glass they replaced it with was also flat. Obviously the dispenser was having issues. Server could not care less about any of the issues. All in all it was the worst visit we have had.

While our server was wonderful, this visit found the food preparation to be less than stellar. My breakfast included eggs and one of them was raw! My mother's dish was overcooked and dry. Typically the food is outstanding so we're not really sure what happened. Not sure we'll do brunch again anytime soon.
