This is our go to place for a date night. Tonight didn’t underestimate our expectations! The chef came to our table and asked us how we wanted our risotto! We were pleasantly surprised.

This was our first visit— the restaurant/“winery” was extremely crowded and noisy when we arrived. Despite arriving on time for a 7:30 reservation on a Friday night we had to wait nearly 25 minutes for a table due to overbooking and walk-ins, so we were not off to great start. However, the evening was salvaged by our waiter, Brandon, who provided extraordinary service. He was kind, knowledgeable, attentive and honest. He brought us five wines to try based on our preferences and anticipated entrees. The 3 reds were meh in quality and were hard to identify as varietally correct. The 2 whites were better and easily identified varietally. The entrees we chose were very good as was the crème brûlée we ordered for dessert. This restaurant is worth trying for anyone with a passing interest in wine but it is not for serious wine enthusiasts based on the quality of wines we tasted. Best to try on a week night.

We had a reservation for 7:30pm & arrived at about 7:25pm. There appeared to me open reservations every 15 minutes for the complete evening via OpenTable. We were told that we were checked in & it would only be a moment until we would be seated. 42 Minutes later we were sat, after every other group had been sat, whether they were there before us or arrived 30min after us. I asked 2 times for an update & was told the same thing "they are clearing off tables right now & it will only be a minute. I had requested a both & was told " it looks like we have many available & that should not be a problem". I walked to the edge of the dining room and counter 4 open & clean in 1/2 of the large dining room. When we were called to be seated I asked for confirmation of being seated in a booth & was told" no sorry, we didn't have any available". At this point we about walked out. I communicated what we were told & what I just counted, not even bringing up that we had waited over 40 minutes. The employee walked back to the host stand & returned telling us there is now a booth that we are going to. Very poor customer service. Once we were sat, our waiter Jax arrived quickly & helped turn out evening around. Typically our experience with the wait staff is average at best. Jax was the best we had ever had at this restaurant. His wine recommendation paired well with the entree & was just what I was looking for. All the courses came out well timed, fresh & perfectly prepared. We hope that next time our experience starts as well as it ended this time.

Restaurant was extremely understaffed in the kitchen. Appetizer and salad never came until the meal. Food took 57 minutes to come out. Waitress was way over-Sat and never refilled drinks.
