We had a great Thanksgiving meal, however our waiter was extremely grumpy. I don’t think he wanted to be working on a holiday.

I made a reservation and still had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. What is the point of making a reservation? The ambiance is always good. I noticed this time that some tables seemed a little closer than I would want them. Luckily, we were seated at a booth in the middle of the restaurant and that felt more private which is exactly how I like it. The hostess was pleasant. The waitress was good...lacked connection, but she did her job. My friend wanted a side salad, and she said they did not have any. I think she was confused because he was initially looking at the salad section of the menu. This is an example of communication missing. I have been to this location twice and two other locations (Cleveland and Richmond) a couple times. I always order the drunken shrimp appetizer and pork chop. I like the pork chop because it is very tender and juicy and melts in my mouth like butter. Unfortunately, that was not the case this time. The pork chop came in two pieces and was thinner cut than I remember. Both pieces dry and required steak knife to cut through. Both plates ordered came with broccoli. The broccoli on both plates was charred and burnt. We had to request new broccoli. Not sure why the kitchen would send it out or why the waitress would serve it. Seems like an overall lack of attention to detail, care and concern for quality. My friends risotto was dry and he didn't even bother to eat it. I requested to a manager and one came out. He apologized (lacked sincerity) and discounted our bill. I was embarrassed because I wanted to share a great time with a friend from out of town and this was not the experience I wanted to provide. I do not think I will go back to this location. Prices are too high to take a chance and potentially be disappointed again. Too many breakdowns this time around.

My friend and I had a wonderful reunion. Drinks and dinner were delicious, and Essence was a fantastic server. Love Cooper’s!

The food was excellent as always, our servers and waiters were attentive, table was kinda small cause we order a lot but made it work. We were there for bday and bday man was happy.

Our first Cooper’s Hawk brunch, and it was a winner. I’m not a brunch person, so I loved the fact that the full menu was also available. The rest of our party loved the brunch menu (and I have to admit I loved the donuts). Our server Madelyn did a great job. She was knowledgeable, friendly, attentive, and showed initiative. It was such a great experience we’re going back next weekend!

We love Cooper’s Hawk for the great food, excellent wine (not to mention the wide variety of wines - definitely something good for every palate), and the fine, consistent service. We’ve been going to Cooper’s Hawk since it started outside of Chicago, and have been members of their wine club since the Reston, VA location opened. Out of all the great experiences we’ve had there, our most recent was a cut above the rest, all due to our server Ariana. She was friendly, attentive (but not intrusive), and proactive. What really stood out, however, was that on this very busy night when she saw our meals were ready, she didn’t wait for a food runner to bring them to us, she did it herself even with everything else she had to do. That is a level of service that is truly above and beyond.
