The restaurant didn't seem to be prepared for Restaurant Week guests. Service was slow as servers were distracted. For example, it took several minutes for one guest to get a spoon with which to eat her soup. It took almost an hour and a half for the food we ordered to arrive at our table. It was delicious, but we were up against conflicts with schedules and couldn't linger over the taste. We selected Cooper's Hawk because we wanted to see if we might patronize it in the future. We found out that the answer is "no".

Our party of 2 went for lunch during KC Restaurant Week. Knowing things can be really busy and that we were on a tight schedule in our work days, we made a reservation for 11:30. Checking in at the host stand, things were off. Two people were working the desk, but 1 was on the phone and the other was looking at the tablet and writing, head down. There were a group of us waiting to check in and be seated and neither of them looked at us or acknowledged any of us for several minutes. When we were seated, we were given 4 menus, none of which even mentioned restaurant week (two regular menus, one specials and one drinks). Our server brought bread and we asked her for restaurant week menus. A few minutes later she returned with those and took the other menus away while asking what we wanted to drink. I just wanted water but it was another 10 minutes before we got that. I sensed there were some understaffing issues happening, so tried to be patient, but the list of things just kept going. When she brought water, it was just one glass at first. She brought another loaf of bread before we got the second water. A runner brought our entrees before we ever got our soups. The fire alarm went off for several minutes with no staff member ever acknowledging it to patrons and telling us that things were fine or if we needed to evacuate. Our entrees had clearly been sitting under a heat lamp (got a little dried out on top) while we ate our late soups (soup got to table at 12:30, when we really needed to be wrapping up to get back to work). Our waters never got refilled. It took 10 minutes to pay our checks and get to-go boxes for our leftovers. I know being short staffed for a busy event is hard and causes timing issues, but this was more than I'm willing to do again, no matter how good the food is.

Great experience! Brennan was an all-star of a waiter. Very mindful with working with some food allergies and taking the extra step to make sure the dinner that night was exquisite. Thank you to the staff of Cooper’s Hawk and especially Brennan for a wonderful evening.

First time to this restaurant and I can honestly say it was one of the best restaurants in KC that I have been to. Our group of 7 traveled an hour away to participate in Restaurant Week. It has become an annual tradition for us these past several years, and it is a great opportunity to visit the City and try something new. Our entire group ordered off of the RW menu. Everything was flavorful, portions were generous, and service was very good. Austin, our server, was friendly and attentive. Several of us ordered the pork chop dish, including myself, and it was so very tasty! One item I would change on the dish would be the "broccolini", which I am definitely not a fan of. Too much stem and not enough broccoli. Tried the brussels sprouts appetizer. Such a different taste, but a very good one. Would have liked to see more sprouts on there and a little less of the sauce. Both very tasty but it seems like the sauce size should have matched more of the number of sprouts on it or you are eating the sauce by itself. My daughters and I have a tradition of visiting the Plaza every year during the Thanksgiving/Christmas season to see the beautiful lights and eat dinner. I have already told my girls that when they come to town (one lives in NYC and the other in Scottsdale) that we will be going to Cooper's Hawk. Great atmosphere too! What a very nice restaurant. KUDO'S to management and ownership!

1. We had a reservation and it was over 30 minutes past our reservation before we were seated. Obviously they took too many reservations or they were allowing too many walk-ins in front of us. 2. Several tables around us were not cleared and cleaned throughout the entire dining experience. 3. The salad came with empty dressing bowls. 4. The bread prior to our meal was really good and so was our meal. 5. Drink refills were slow. 6. They overcharged us the advertised price for the restaurant week lunch deal. 7. The recommended tip amount on the bottom of the receipt should be based on the sub total. Instead it was based on the taxed total. 8. They did correct the overcharge for our meals; however; the tip amount on the bottom of the receipt did not change. VERY SUSPICIOUS 9. We have pics documenting all true statements above.
