Honestly, Cooper’s Hawk has gone down hill. We used to be wine club members a couple years ago and went for dinner frequently. It’s been a while since we’ve done in for dinner. We decided to go for a date night. We arrived on time for our 7:15 dinner reservation and had to wait until 7:32 to be seated. The hostess area was filled with others waiting on their reservation as well. We overheard a couple people also complaining about being on time and not being seated until 15-20 minutes later. We finally get to our table, and our server was great. Sue was very friendly, complimented our order, and did a great job checking on our drinks and bread when things were running behind. We put in our drink order and appetizer order at the same time for fear the kitchen would be as backed up as the seating was. Our drunken shrimp arrived before our drinks. In fact, we finished our appetizer before our drinks arrived. My drink didn’t come as advertised with the tajin rim. I got the short rib risotto and my husband had the Filet wedge salad. My dinner was mediocre. The meat was very fatty to the point that I couldn’t eat about half of what was served to me. Short rib is a fatty meat, but they should do a better job selecting quality pieces to plate and skip the hunks of fat. My husband asked for the Italian and blue cheese dressing to be subbed for ranch dressing. The kitchen also left off the blue cheese crumbles. Again, our waitress was great and checked on that immediately as she wasn’t sure the kitchen would do it correctly, and she grabbed him the side of crumbles asap. She was great and on top of things. All in all, it wasn’t a great dining experience. There are too many good restaurants in Kenwood and Montgomery to settle for a lackluster meal at Cooper’s Hawk. I don’t think we will be back for dinner for a very long time.

Great food and service as always! I requested the barrel room and was granted that request which was so kind of them! I had the tuna and my husband had chicken piccata. Both excellent!

Our server was the best part of dining at Cooper’s hawk. He was on top of things and very nice. The food was incredible too.

Our first visit here last night. Our reservation started out rocky, as we sat at our table for 10 minutes before anyone checked on us to order drinks. We were about to walk out, but the wonderful, Stacy Saylor (waitress), noticed we hadn’t been acknowledged. She was not even our assigned wait staff. She immediately dropped what she was doing, apologized, and took our drink order. She assured us we would be taken care of immediately. She took over our service, and it was top notch! She was on top of everything from the moment she took over. I let her know we wanted to acknowledge her to her manager, in return. The manager came to our table, and was very apologetic and appreciative. At the end of paying our bill, she left a complimentary bottle of wine for the inconvenience in the beginning. It was not expected, but appreciated. You will not regret asking for her, specifically. Thank you for your exceptional service! And also note the food was amazing!
