Situé en bas du nouveau développement d'appartements de luxe Elan Westside, Cooks & Soldiers se concentre sur les méthodes de cuisines de la côte basque, une solide culture avec les sociétés gastronomiques et certains des meilleurs restaurants du monde. I am writing this review as tribute and respect for the dessert. I’m always intrigued by the mix of reviews such platforms exhibit. In this case, I would recommend that you trust all of the 4 and 5 stars and discount the lessers that reflect an anomalous bad night, experience or disinterest in fine food. We tried three different cocktails two of them were excellent, one phenomenal. The phenomenal cocktails are found on their GT list. Our server, Deniesha, who was an incredible professional, explained that the gin and tonic is a big cultural deal there as they make the tonic and various herbal or fruit additives in house. I enjoyed the apricot “Castle & Key.” (See photo). The food was uniformly superb. We enjoyed the mountain bread, shrimp in garlic sauce with capers, scallops with squash and apple garnish, grilled oysters on toasted, pita. But, back to the dessert. I am a chocolate mousse addict. I have resisted treatment on numerous continents for a half century. I now lean into the habit. This one is award-winning. And to intensify the presentation and make this a world class MICHELIN superstar dessert, they add a super nitroglycerin-chilled scoop of dark chocolate gelato. This should be outlawed. We also had the Basque cake/torte with fig filling adorned, crowned, by a scoop of milk gelato. I can get an excellent James Beard awarded dinner anywhere in Atlanta. I cannot get this kind of dark chocolate therapy anywhere else. There you have it. Enjoy, my friends.

Cannot say enough great things about Cooks. It’s consistently delicious and we always crave the Bikini and white fish. The flavors are sophisticated and with small plates it’s lovely how easy it is to put together flavors that compliment each other. With so many options in Atlanta, Cooks and Soldiers ranks in our top three.

What a fabulous experience!!! Definitely a foodie adventure attended to by Joe and Christopher. Their passion for wine and food made our experience even more superb!

Amazing experience. I had been before, but took my youngest sister who was in town visiting for a girls night. Our waitress, Jade, took extra care of us knowing I am pregnant- put certain sauces on the side, checked on specific ingredients, and even provided patatas bravas on the house. All the staff were very kind and the food was delicious. Some say tapas are small dishes, but we were full after a few items and felt the price was very much worth the value. I will be back to bring my husband!

I have always loved this restaurant, but I thought it was really average this past Friday night. I was early and I ordered a paloma at the bar. When I closed the tab the cocktail was $25 without tip. a $30 drink seems a bit aggressive. The food was fine but not the quality I remembered. Overall, I would go some place different for the amount of money that was spent.
