A family-owned business, Cook St. Helena, is a neighborhood establishment through and through that continues to bring people together around fresh, handmade, delicious food in a warm, casual atmosphere. We opened Cook in 2004 to show the locals and tourists alike that food does not need to be complicated to taste great!

A St. Helena locals favorite. Good food, service, our go to for pasta. Super good bolognese, my BLT for lunch today was yummy. A gem! It is small be sure to make reservations.

We dined at Cook during a trip to Napa Valley. The service was excellent. We both enjoyed the mussels appetizer with the homemade spicy sausage. I had the daily special, which was a homemade fettuccine with chicken, in a Parmesan sauce. It was delicious and I cleared my plate. My partner enjoyed a seafood dish with shrimp and mussels. He really enjoyed his meal as well. Our waiter was phenomenal and food delivery was timed perfectly. Highly recommended.

This was our first time at Cook St. Helena and it is now on our must go to when in Napa list. I found Cook while searching for Italian restaurants on Open Table. It was described as a favorite amongst locals with food that deserved the loyalty. I immediately booked it. My expectations went even higher when our Lyft driver praised the restaurant during our whole car trip. Well, we are very happy to say Cook delivered. We had the calamari for starters and were amazed at its tenderness. And, the batter coating was very light allowing the full flavor of the calamari to come through. We shared our entrees, starting with the Spaghetti alle Vongole. The pasta was hand made delivering great texture and the sauce was worth using bread to soak up every bit. We then had the pork shoulder, which just melted in your mouth. It was served with polenta, which I usually am not fond of, but I ate every bit of it this time. We wished we had room for dessert because we are certain it would have been excellent as well.

I’ve been here many times, frequently as a solo diner, and my experience has always been terrific- the servers are attentive and very knowledgeable, generous and helpful. The food is always top notch, especially the soups. Everything is made in house and is excellently prepared. One of my very favorites in Napa!

This was our fourth visit. The roasted pork shoulder was probably the best dinner I’ve had out in a year.

Wonderful small restaurant in st Helena. You know the place is special when it is filled with all the locals. This is our second visit, and can’t wait to have another experience next time in the Napa valley

We were warmly greeted as we entered and were seated. The food was fabulous! The staff was very attentive and accommodating. We ate here the last time we were in town and will be back the next time too.
