    Early Lunchtime eating , plenty of people in and a nice atmosphere. We both opted for the Steak & Ale pie which along with the mash & Veg was lovely. Only downside, i find the menu choice very limited if you want more than a sandwich, otherwise i would eat there more.

    Service was so slow. Waited 45 mins for breakfast when it wasn’t that busy. After asking twice if our order was coming, when it eventually arrived there was no apology for the delay. Such a shame as the food was lovely and service was great on a previous visit

    The service was friendly and the food was really lovely. The pies are delicious and my friends also enjoyed their chicken burger and the venison lasagne (which was the special on that day). It was fairly quiet for a Saturday lunchtime in the summer.

    A bright and happy welcome as soon as we entered, great interaction between staff and we enjoyed our breakfast in the outside seating area.

    Party of 6 June 23rd 2024 Service was great, didn't get the waiters name but he was great with us, made us feel totally relaxed, couldn't do enough for us... he's a credit to the restaurant The food was really nice - freshly prepared and very well presented. That was our 3rd or 4th time there.... never disappointed. There's a very high likely-hood we'll returning.

    Always lovely food at the cookhouse, really enjoyed the mussels on the specials, steak was cooked to perfection, and such friendly and polite staff, looking forward to my next visit 😊
